i just took the SAT for the first time in May, and my scores were not good lol, or at least not what i wanted
so im considering the ACT, but i don't know much about it. could you guys tell me more about the ACT test? or any experience with taking it. what'd you recommend, SAT or ACT?

oh and also, if you've taken SAT classes that really helped, can you guys tell me where?

The ACT's are divided into four parts instead of ten, if you're taking the ESSAY portion also. One math, one reading, one writing, and one essay. Most people think the ACT's are easier, and I thought so also, until I received my scores back. In short, my SAT scores are better. The first time I took the SAT's,they were really bad, second time, the scores dropped. But the third time I took them, they raised two hundred points, and I didn't study or do anything. The main key to taking the SAT's is getting to know HOW to take it. You won't do well if you just rely on your intelligence. You need to know what to do, when to do it, and how you will do it. Hence, taking them a few times willl let you gain that experience!
To be great is to be misunderstood.

^ my SAT scores dropped the second time too.. lame..

i personally think the ACT & SAT are about the same level of difficulty. Okay, maybe a tad bit easier. The math section was a breeze for me smile.gif but the science/reading whatever killed me. I got a very very average SAT score with a little bit of studying ( average is usually 500 per section ), but for the ACT...... i didnt study at ALL and got a score i was happy with. I didnt get like a 28 or anything but i was def happy smile.gif
