So I received my own car about a month ago, and now I finally have insurance for it after a month of waiting. biggrin.gif I'm so happy now happy.gif
It's a white 2006 Honda Accord LX, sedan, and it's completely stock.
But it's completely empty right now, except for a few maps and an air freshener (that I just bought).

So, what are some "essential items" that you guys keep in your cars?
Things like.. some money, extra clothes, blanket, towels, pen/pencil/paper, water bottle, or etc. <- just some random examples..

As a victim of a flat tire once... keep the following: A REAL breaker bar with a socket for the wheel lug nuts - The factory one that comes with the spare is usually garbage, get a longer bar and your life will be much easier. Also carry a small electric or manual airpump, so in case it is flat or if you simply would like to check tire pressure and adjust, a pump with you makes it much easier. Also throw in a tire pressure gauge.

I agree with a camera, as this proved valuable for myself and family when things happen. Keep the car's manual in the car... you may never know when you need to refer to it for something.

This is what I keep in my car:
-Tools to do most emergency work on the car, like breaker bar, sockets, screwdrivers, etc. all stored in a small container.
-First Aid kit, yes i've injured myself working on the car or doing other crap, its proven to be a lifesaver.
-A quart of motor oil, transmission fluid and a small pint of brake fluid. Keep all these in seperate bags tied up, I store these with in the spare tire well.
-A electric air compressor for tire inflation, etc and a digital tire pressure gauge.
-Camera in case of accidents or other stuff.
-A small power inverter for when I find something remotely useful on the street and want to test it out to see if its worth keeping (lol... funny habit... love free stuff).
-Emergency flares for those accidents or when i want to screw around...
-The car's manual, service records (tucked in with the manual holder), and car registration and a copy of my insurance card.
-Lastly, air fresher bottle... gotta have it.

Crap I keep in my car:

- 15x7 meshie for a spare
- Tool kit... unfortunatly no jack... but a jack would be very good
- Clothes... you never know when you are going to need to live in your car
- Random water bottle... keep some where out of the sun
- Stock intercooler piping... never know when your front mount will be destroyed
- Ski mask... uhh... because.. you never know...w hen it will be cold?
- Back pack... because i never know when i may go to school
- Carton of cigarettes, never know when you are going to run out
- Fuses
- Some connectors that i don't know where they go to
- SAFC that hasn't been installed

Haha juuust kidding... that just clutter junk that I have to clean out every once and awhile. Just keep some tools and what you need. Keep it at a minimum or else it will keep building up

I like to drive with minimum payload. ph34r.gif

I've been thinking about having essential items in the car, but I'm kind of lazy to get started.

I learned from experience while attempting to rotate my tires that the Nissan lug wrench is junk when they supplied them on the S13, so I found a stronger one somewhere else. I'm forced to keep the original lug wrench because it's needed to operate the scissor jack.
