I'm trying to come up with an idea for a gift for my friend's birthday and going away. . .(he's going abroad for a year, to study.) But I really don't know what to give him. My mind currently draws a blank. And I'm one of those people that plan months ahead. . .bahahah. x] We're just friends, but. . .we're fairly close. We don't have the brother/sister kind of relationship, but we also don't have the romantic-sort of relationship either. . .I just want to be able to prepare a gift for him that's meaningful. :3

here are some suggestions:
- mix cd of his favorite songs/songs that remind you of him/songs that mean something to both of you
- one of those funny "worst care scenario" books (since he's leaving the country haha)
- handmade picture frame with a pic of you two
- a mixture care package of things he might need (i.e. the stuff listed above, some of his favorite snacks, condoms, something inside joke ish)

I've been talking to this one guy for about 7 months now. His birthday is tomorrow.
He won't let me buy him anything. He said, "It has to be $0 and make me happy..."
I asked people and all they told me was, of course, SEX. But that's out of the question.
He's coming down to visit me this weekend so I have a week to come up with something.
Since we've been talking for awhile and still not dating... I just made him this corny thing.
I cut up a bunch of hearts and wrote a note on them. [4 of them] -a note telling him what the gift is. (my heart)
Then, I cut up 22 more hearts. On one of them it says: 21 reasons why I love you...
I put one reason why I love him on each of the rest. [21, b/c he's turning 21.] Is that too corny?
It's $0 & hopefully will make him happy. So, what else can I make him? Or what else would be good?
