I think it'd be really cute for those long-term relationships if you gave him (or her)

coupons !! like free kiss or free piggy back ride. free dress up time (fun for the ladies smile.gif) etc

materialistic? -- almost.

i think i went a LITTLE overboard with my boyfriends 19th birthday present. i just got him whatever he NEEDED material-wise. i'm extremely realistic. i'd hate to give him like stuff i'd made cause i'm too crafty for his taste. and i'd hate to make him something he wouldn't be able to use (photo albums, star jars etc.)

note: he came from a very poor family in mexico (think 12 brothers & sisters) and basically hasn't had a real birthday until this one that is coming up.
i'm basically spoiling him right now haha. but he's worth it smile.gif

1 pair of sb dunks (black midtops)
2 pairs of ccs jeans
5 hollister shirts & polos
1 krew wallet
1 nike sb dunk hat
1 element leather belt
1 pack of hanes socks (he needed it haha)

My boyfriend's 18th birthday is coming up too. I already made him a scrapbook for his graduation, gave him a soccerball for Christmas, gave him a shirt from AE that he never wears, a bobblehead blue bear and couple keychains, and other stuff I can't even remember.

But anyways, I don't have a lot of money lol. T_T I was thinking of making him cookies or something and a collage poster like Miyeon but it doesn't really seem like enough. And I'd do paper stars but his ex gave him that for Christmas and I know he woudln't like it.

So what else can I do?

-edit-

I also wrote more messages and stuck them onto a piece of candy and put it in the jar.

DD= I love this idea lol.

Help! I have until tomorrow (Sunday) night to purchase a birthday gift for my oppa! We're not blood-related, but I love him just as if he were related to me. He's the ONLY guy friend that my parents treat well. I've known him for 5 years, but we're definitely more than best friends b'cuz he protects me and advises me and scolds me like a good older brother would. (Does that make sense?) smile.gif He's very guyish, mellow, and minimalistic.

Anyway, he just got back from Korea, so I'm sure he's already bought tons of clothes and shoes. If he hasn't, then his gf and her mom probably spoiled him like crazy. (Come to think of it, I have no idea what his gf got him for his bday. o_o) He also received an Ipod Video from his gf not too long ago, and he recently bought a new cell phone. It's weird for me to buy him a necklace, and I don't want to get him a watch. I can't even get him something like DVDs b'cuz he doesn't have a TV or a DVD player. I was thinking of taking him out to an upscale restaurant (non-Korean b'cuz it was probably a lot better in Korea lol), but I'm moving to Korea on Monday and he's not coming back to campus until late tomorrow night. And I don't really want to get a bottle of Johnny Blue or something b'cuz that's something you get a close guy friend and he's a lot more important to me than that.

I was thinking maybe a wallet or cologne..? But he might've already bought a new wallet in Korea and I'm not sure what kind of cologne he'd like (or that his gf would like on him). I really hope there's someone more creative than me, b'cuz I'm freaking out right now ack! For reference, my limit is $150.

That last one is freaking awesome LOL!!! You're very creative =].

One thing I got for my bf for his bday is .... i went over to his house really freakin early like... 8 am when he was still sleeping, I went to his room and hid in his blankets in lingerie LOL then yelled SURPRISE in his face and gave him a cupcake that i baked with a sparkler in it.

here's an idea for anyone who might have a 1 year anniversary coming up. for me and my bf's 1 year, part of his present was this pretty jar I decorated and I made 365 of the stars that someone was talking about earlier, but I added a twist to it. Inside each strip, I wrote a reason why I like him, so each star represented a reason why I like him, 365 reasons, one for every day we've been together, and the purpose of was so when I'm away at school (we're bout 3 hrs apart during the school year) he can open one each day, and be reminded why he means so much to me.

BUT FREAKIN AFTER WRITING INSIDE 365 SLIPS OF PAPER AND FOLDINGG 365 STARS, I was like oH HELL NO he will not unfold all my hard work haha, so instead of telling him to open one star a day, I said, there are 365 stars and each has a reason why I like you, but too bad I spent too long folding these so you cant open it biggrin.gif he was sad, but then from behind my back I popped out a little book I made, which had the 365 reasons inside the book, and I drew a cover, made the binding with some ribbon.

anyway, I thought it was a sweet idea to do and he seemed to like it smile.gif

Okay, well I have my close friend's birthday coming up this saturday. I have no idea what to get him. I asked my other friends but they were all like 'oh just give him money' .. but there's like no thought in giving money..
He's into basketball.. but he already has a basketball and all that stuff..
He likes astro boy .. but already has a plush of him ..
He wants a psp, but it's not like I'm that rich dry.gif
I thought of making them paper stars and stuffing it in a jar.. but it's a bit too girly. lol.

What do guys usually like receiving for their birthday?

draw a psp on a thick piece of cardboard and put it in a psp box ;] okay maybe you don't have a box, just decorate the box ;] HAHA
jkay.
guys like stuff they can use : wallets, watches, clothes, sunglasses. sleep.gif.

anyways, here's some stuff i've done for gifts:
1: to a friend who really was pretty anime-oriented, I used a plastic ball the size of a Pokeball and made it look like one biggrin.gif Then I put in starts & a small pokemon plushie (those keychain ones) with a pokemon silver game smile.gif
2: make a box. seriously, decorate every side with different things about why you like them and stuff that reminds you of them, then put food inside haha smile.gif
3: a huge card. a poster board folded in half and made into a huge card smile.gif i made it kinda like a popup book and stuff ^^;

Hm. There's this guy that I like, but obviously he won't like me because he already has this deal whatever with this other girl that lives an hour away from us ... BLAHBLAHBLAH.

His birthday is towards the end of October, but I'm already starting to think about stuff to give him. I don't know what though. >_<

I don't want to give him stuffed animals & stuff because I already gave him enough of those & we trade off ours anyways.

What do you guys suggest ? =)
