My mum bday is on halloween! Need some good gift ideas, sth creative and not too expensive, but shows I care and have put awhole lotta effort in making/getting

I'm overseas studying in uni, and she's not here, so I might have to mail it.


Also my dad's bday is in mid nov, so need ideas for his bday too.

i remember seeing something on ugly betty, betty's bf would like give her a pumpkin container with candy inside with like a gift at the very bottom. you could do something like that and possibly have like a necklace or earrings at the bottom or a coupon for like "one free dinner / hug / helping hand / dish washing " or something and help her eat the candy/chocolate

for the dad, possibly a wallet? necktie?

I've sorta wanted to make his gift practical, like stuff that he could/would use.

so.
A sweater [he has eye on it for a while, but doesn't want to dish out the cash for it. its 150.]
Zune headphones. [LOVES his zune, wants better headphones.]
sweat pants. [He is an athlete, winter is coming up, I know he could use some.]
fudge [he loves that stuff more than me. LOL]
and TNA pants. [I know this sounds weird, but its sorta an inside joke] [btw, for people who don't know what TNA pants are, they are basically work out/yoga pants, that makes a woman's ass look fantastic, they do miracles for me.]

Yay or nay? too much? too little?

You should try making a bouquet of paper flowers xD I made one for Valentines Day and gave each of my friends a paper flower, but it'd be really cute to give an entire bouquet to one special person :]

There's also paper hearts. Or a farm of random paper animals =o (more for cool points rather than romantic).

hmm, does anyone know where to get the capsule letter things? like in the movie A Millionare's first love? where hyun bin gives the girl a jar full of the capsules? and like in each capsule (theyre like as big as a capsule pill ._.) he put a little message in it.

So my bf and I decided to put a limit this year on our Christmas present for each other. I know its kind of early to ask about Christmas present ideas when its 2 months away, but I am having a hard time figuring out what to get him since we decided to see who can get the best $5 Christmas gift. So far, I have no idea what's $5 bucks or what to make/do with $5. I can't spend more than that, because we have to save our receipts and prove it to each other that we did spend five dollar. So, does anyone have any ideas? My boyfriend is a huge sports fanatic, enjoys putting puzzles together, loves junk food, and ionno. We've been together for almost a year which will be in January if that helps.

heres a few ideas/gifts ive done for my bf:

1. clear glass jar filled with ALL BROWN M&M's EXCEPT for ONE ORANGE one.. i made sure that was in the front where he can see it... and i wrote somewhere on the jar, "you're one in a million"

2. a real goldfish in a jar tied with a red ribbon and i left it on his front steps and wrote on the jar, "you're the only fish in the sea for me"

3. a collage with our pics.

4. a wallet with our pic in it.. and a receipt that said:
"wallet - $40 bucks... dinner = $30... etc, etc.. your love = PRICELESS

5. scrapbook with old receipts and movie tickets, amusement park tickets, pics, etc

6. lol oh. and our anniversary date was "050505" MAY5th 2005..... lol so part of our one year.. i got him the "555 deal at dominos" LOLL. it was hilarious. he loved it! we had pizza for quite some time.........=/ lol


theres more. i cant seem to think of them right now. those are the few that were his fav. that he really enjoyed and got a kick out of it. some of 'em may sound corny.. but he loved 'em!

Why don't you make him a puzzle.. maybe like print out a sports picture and glue it onto a thick posterboard, then cut it up in puzzle shapes. You can spend the rest of that money on some candy/snacks or something.
