@ ` jenn
hrmmm
an external hard drive so he could store more music and movies
u could buy a cushy office leather chair, they're around $200
or one of those massaging things that u can attach to chairs
one of those tiny netbooks but they're around $500
if he's really into music, buy bose/sennheiser etc headphones/earphones

@ kiwistar
you could get them those mini sets of nail polish
cute stationary
stickers
kids are really into technology nowadays, so maybe something different like board games. for instance, monopoly has a children's version, as well as a monopoly version with the simpsons, star wars etc.
maybe one of those artistic kits where they make their own things

@ NoobCakez

i have ZILCH money (no job, too young ==")

for your friend, u could buy him a drawing journal, some stores sell them with awesome artistic covers. possibly with a pack of fineliners and grey leads.

maybe u and ur friends could get a group present, it could be cheaper than way. For example, instead of getting something by urself and spending $20, your group of friends could all contribute $10 or $15 each and u could get him something bigger and better.

for your sister, this won't cost u a cent but maybe u could make and print her a personalised calendar, on the comp, with each month featuring a different kpop celeb.

or you could create and give ur sis an " I owe u" card, perhaps something along the lines of
"when I have money, I owe you a special dinner at__________" and things like that.

@ discombobulate;
store vouchers are good but they're not so creative i guess
u could buy oversized stationary, i remember seeing oversized calculators, pencils and erasers
$10 posters that have funny images or signs on them, lol and if u look around u can find some funny bumper stickers too
there are some really unique rubbish bins as well, i bought my friend a rubbish bin that was in the form of a starbucks cup
U could go to Borders, they sell some pretty fun/unique stuff. They have items such as a calendar with the funniest or stupidest things said, chocolate with very interesting wrapping etc.

my friend is having her sweet sixteen at a hotel, and its formal = EXPENSIVE PARTY
i want to give a cash gift, what's the amount that you're supposed to give for these?

and
what kind of gifts do you get your parents for christmas?
the typical asian parents who are always "i don't like christmas i don't want anything" and don't particularly like anything
or have any hobbies. all i know is my mom likes dramas but i dont know what kind and my dad smokes which is a big no-no T_T

help will be greatly appreciated! thanks!

I'm still not sure about what to get my best friend that I've been crushing on for 5 years for Christmas. >.<

He knows a lot of random facts. He has pretty much everything he wants. He's one of those people that already have everything, so I'm having a lot of trouble getting anything for him.

So far this is a list I've compiled:

-lucky stars in a jar
-a jar of candy?
-a CD that I recorded for him

But I really don't know. Nothing really stands out to me. Help please. tears.gif I want to get him something nice. Man...this is so difficult. T_T He's 17 by the way.
...just an ordinary girl trying to be extraordinary.

^get her a subscription to Rachael Ray magazine!
it has loads of recipes and other homely ideas, so i think it would be a great gift under budget! =D

` jenn: if you buy him a scarf and hat...i think it'll be better if you knit it yourself and then knit your name and his name (or initials) on to it
and yah i agree with yellow post it, an external hard drive won't be bad (if he doesn't have one yet)

sweetxxsoul: it won't be bad to get sheet music for Christmas...but i think there are better ways
does he already have a program to create music on the computer? like finale? or Sibelius? or whatever other programs there is lol
because with those programs you can create it on the computer and print it out...it's a lot easier than writing it out and erasing it
well if he doesn't have it then you can get him that xD

lovecubedlee, some random ideas:
a book with decorating tips. ive seen some cool books that give ideas on choosing color themes, stenciling etc.
a cookbook along with some cooking equipment like a mixing bowl, whisk, blender or something
something from bath and body works, because you can never have too much soap haha
a gift basket with a mix of the above like body wash, a cookbook, a mug etc.
a jewelry box with earrings, a necklace and a bracelet inside

i hope that helped a bit. urbanoutfitters.com has a lot of cool stuff under "apartment" so maybe you'll get some ideas (:

well first off...what are your friends like? is one of them really girly? or likes to cook? likes to read? play sports? etc?
then once you know what they're like it'll be easier to decide

I NEED HELP @.@...

Okay, so christmas is coming up and my wifey has already given me her christmas gift since school ended a little before christmas break and I'm going on a vacation... She made little pig out of beads (My chinese nick name is 'xiao zhu' (little pig)) which she has spent a week making it along with a video of herself making the little pig and 'top 10 facts' about me LOL... which i find really cute tongue.gif . ANYWAYS i have no idea what to give in return... =[ it was creative of her to make something with a video attached to it for me @.@... *Before she gave me the gift, i had an idea of giving her a swarovski crystal of like a snowman or something... but now i really don't know haha*

AHHH so frustrating... ohmy.gif

Hey guys! Since Christmas is in five days, I'm trying to figure out what I should give my friend for Christmas. She really likes Common and Pharrell/N.E.R.D. but I have no idea if they're selling anything new out. So if anyone would recommend me something to give to my Common and Pharrell/N.E.R.D. loving friend, it would be greatly appreciated! biggrin.gif

What should I get an 80+ year old grandma who always insists she doesn't need anything? I was thinking about curling her hair, but she might not go for that either.
