Awh, that would be really cute!
I never thought of that, lol.
Thing is, we take a lot of our pictures with my webcam..
Which kind of has sucky quality, lol
I'm not sure about clothes because he's kind of picky on what he wears.. Well, he likes to wear hoodies and sweatpants like every day, lol x]
And making him something.. I'm not that.. creative? lol
Thanks for the idea! :]

can you bake? i made these really really crappy dry brownies in a heart shaped muffin pan i got from the dollar store. honestly i would've trashed them but i put them in a cellophane bag then into a Mc.donalds happy meal box (i work at mc.donalds and joked that i would buy him a happy meal for our one year) then passed it onto a friend that goes to his school(we go to diff schools) to hide it in his locker tomorrow for our one year. Hiding something in your bf's locker or in his room(with the permission of his parents) as is a surprise is always nice smile.gif

here's a question:
i wanna get my <3 interest a gift for valentines, and we've been talking a LOT about our favorite movies/books/etc. and he was talking about how he like wuthering heights. so i was looking in the bookshelf at my house and i found some of these old-fashioned looking classics, and i was wondering if you guys thought it would be a good gift to give him one of those. not too personal since we aren't going out or anything, but still a good gift?? im not sure.. D: what do you think?

ahhh valentine day is coming up. my bf doesn't do jewelry. he is very picky about his clothing.
do you think if i just made him chocolate, its enough?
actually the question i want to ask is... can a girl that can't really cook, make good tasting chocolate out from scratch? (in matter of weeks)

A picture book eh?

I guess you could like take pics of yourself! LOL ok that came out kind of wrong, like totally wrong, but I'll get back to that.

Okok just seperate the photos into categories. Categories like pics of us together, just you, and just her(ok that would be kind of weird), but just like random categories. Then what you do is make up smart names for these categories and these will be your chapter names!

So for pics of you guys together you can call it "moments I cherish", or like for pics of just you, you could call em "for when you need there when I can't"

ok and then chapter covers should be something cute or some appropriate way of capturing this idea. You could like make it so that you're holding up these blank pieces of paper, then you can like photoshop in letters, or like you can take pics of yourself and you're holding these blank paper speech bubbles and you can once again photoshop in some comments.

What's with all the jewellery? It seems like everyone's replacing affection with expense. I would much prefer something sentimental. A handmade card or something that has a bit of meaning behind it.

If my s/o dressed up as a panda I'd be ecstatic! I do quite like my pandas. tongue.gif

Does your boyfriend already wear necklaces?
Because if he doesn't it may feel a bit weird for him to start wearing them.
I have never worn necklaces... just not my style... (reminds me a blonde haired surfers or ghetto wannabes)
Also, even if he does wear necklaces, he may like his current one and not want to replace it.
That watch looks really nice and I'd like to have a watch like that for formal events when I wear a suit.
Not really for daily wear... like blissful* said.

But the most important question you want to ask yourself is...
Don't you think you're spending a little too much money?
I'm just assuming, but if that's you in your avatar, then you can't be more than 16-18 years old.
These gifts are (I'm assuming, again) expensive gifts.
These would be great potential gifts when you're older and have a career already, but I think even if you have the money to buy these right now, I'd save your (your parents', most likely) money.
These gifts have almost 0% sentimental value. How about making something, doing something, or purchasing something that reflects your current relationship with him?

Make something, like cookies, cup cakes, origami flowers, or oh! I made pink hearts rice krispy treats last V-day (instead of white marshmallows, use the pink ones).
This year, I designed a t-shirt for him and made roses out of foam.

As a guy, I wouldn't really expect something expensive from my own girlfriend because I like to be the one pampering her! :3

+ A lot of people rather sentimental presents rather than something costly.

A good idea for girls to give to their BF or guy friend could be something hand made. My girlfriend made me a boxes of paper roses... they looked really tricky to make as well! D':
OR... a poem? hahaha corny much?

From a guy to a girl? errr :S
I also have a lot of trouble with this one ><"
Sometimes if i cant figure out what to get, i just get the cliche gifts like flowers in her favourite colour and other stuff.. but if she's the sentimental type of girl, just be with her - that's all that matters smile.gif

^What are you guys talking about? I hope you two weren't referring to me becuz I wasn't the one who started the fashion fight. I was being attacked and I was only defending myself. By the way, who died and made you two God of the L&R forum? O_o

Not getting involved is when you don't reply you idiot! You don't live up to your username!

No! Only girly guys would like receiving teddy bears on vday!

not true.
i made my boyfriend a stuffed animal.
it's meaningful and took a lot of time.
he holds it when he sleeps.
since we're far apart from each other.
oh hi.

^^ If I were to take 'a lot of time' making something 'meaningful' for my boyfriend, that gift's better be for our anniversary.

Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn about V-day. I still think V-day is over-rated. All of that syrupy goo-goo-gaa-gaa love everywhere makes me sick! O_o

^^ Hm, I just can't seem to wrap my head around of the fact that a guy's holding a stuffed animal to sleep with at night. I would rather have him spooning with me! tongue.gif

The trouble is, scented jar candles and leather journals are quite expensive. Price Range: $35-140. Kiddo, you might want to save your lai-see packets in hard economic times.

Didn't you say you were hoping to become an artist someday? If so, you may need a kick-start for inspiration. How about asking your flatmate to be your muse? What better way to express your friendship than to capture the essence of your best friend on canvas. This can also be a fun way to strengthen your art skills. Besides, as the old saying goes, "A sketch is worth a thousand words." I'm confident Ms. Anja will agree with me on this.

Perhaps some day years from now, when you're a great artist you won't forget me? LOL
