Does anybody tumble here/!?! i did it for about 2 years along with cheer and dance, and then i had to quit for a year cuz of stuff that happened. and i'm starting again. and ddanng. it'z a pain. i'm all the way back to back handsprings and the person who's teachin' me says i need more power in my jump. so anybody got sum good exercises or sumthin' that will help my jump go higher??! i only have trouble with a standing back handspring. because there's no rebound to give you a boost into the air. like a round- off would give you. well i'd appreciate tips and stuff. !

for tumbling - popping off your shoulders gives you a lot of "spring" already
you should try aiming for that when you're doing a standing backhandspring - also try to "pull" your legs slightly under you without actually doing it - hahah I'm sorry that sounds weird, but when you do that and throw your arms up as if trying to reach the sky, it'll gear the momentum you gain into the air so you can gain more height on the rebound
work on calf muscles too - those are essential to getting a good rebound
also try not to land flat on your feet but rather on the balls of your feet - it lessens the impact and also prepares you for your transition to the next move
