Hi everyone. I just scored a low grade on my midterm...i freaked out. I was down on myself...i studied so hard and i knew the subject in and out. But i guess i didn't read the questions carefully and made a lot of minor mistakes. just today, i started to realized that i shouldn't care about grades too much. After i grad, it will just be a letter. I wish i focused more on learning and improving myself than studying the right things to get good grades. I hate how grades determine your intelligence. hmm...what about u guys?

grades used to be important to me...back in high school to get into the course i want
now not so much anymore
i aim for a spass and thats it...not much difference at the end of the day, you still get the the same degree as someone finishing with honours
EVERYTHING REDUCED

But you also shouldn't just aim to pass right? I know it sounds lame, but I just try to get the best grade I can. Self-respect man!

Some of you guys talk about how a degree is just a paper, and that your paper is all that matters. Well, for some majors, that may be the case, but for others, such as engineering, GPA is extremely important for several jobs. Don't fool yourself when you say that a degree is just a paper. A 4.0 GPA can get you a long way, especially right out of college where employers have nothing to base you by except your interviewing skills and your GPA.

But... don't stress yourself out just to get good grades... i've learn through my four years of college that it's better to learn the material then to study your ass off... if you've learned the material, you really only need to look over the material to understand and remember everything...

same thing happened to me... I was so upset upon seeing my midterm test score... and I spent a lot of time studying for that test too, but it's just one test, there will be many out there, so I know I will do better next time and I know you till too.
yes, that's right grades are just a letter, but I guess the letter A is very important in my family, so I don't know. I was pretty blue about the test situation, but I know I will do better next time and so on.
I did the same thing you did, it was because I didn't read the question carefully... so next time I will learn from my mistakes.
