I don't look at my keyboard when I type. I just get sort of panicky when I type with my eyes closed because I like to know when I make mistakes, so I can fix them. Other than that, I can type without looking.. what I can't do are numbers :/ At least the ones that are in a row on top... too far away.

I thought touch type was a different style of typing where people type really fast by simultaneously typing two letters, or so, at once... like the ones court reporters or tv subtitles use.

I had to retype this, because I kept forgetting the last parts.
I have the shortest memory ever.
But I know when I've typed a mistake, because I've been taking keyboard classes since the 4th grade.
It's mandatory where I live to start in the 4th grade.
We have to take a semester in the 7th grade for keyboarding also.
The other years can be up to us.
5th & 6th grade we do it the whole year.

i probably can, if i wanted to. but it's pretty helpful knowing the layout of the keyboard, it really helps when there is no extra light, beside the screen.

i usually do but sometimes i try to say something on msn while looking somewhere else, and I end up hitting the keys to the side of the keys i wanted to type.

I can type with my eyes closed ! And it'll usually be very accurate.
I'm typing with my eyes closed at the moment..
I began typing properly, I guess you could call it, when I was in elementary school..
so about grade six or so.. and now I just have gotten faster at it.

Yep..real easy. I've always been a really fast typer. In 6th grade I typed at 118 WPM, 100% accuracy..teacher was impressed
