I was wondering if anyone has this phone and is it a good phone?

I want to get this phone but I have verizon and I have no idea where those places where they set up the phone for verizon sweatingbullets.gif anyone know? I'm kind of getting tired of verizons ugly phones =[.

is there any problem with text messaging and income calls like not being able to see who the calls are from or not being able to read text messages?

I have that phone. I love it but you really can't expect much out of the phone except for the design - Korea's made it so that you can't transfer mp3 onto it and you have to hack it in order to put in (crappy) ringtones, videos, and pictures -__-;;

This is my phone :3

you cant view who the text sender is unless they have verizon
you can only obtain ringtones through other sky phones only

it's a really good phone but what sucks is that you need a certain format for ringtones and texting is a real pain cause if the person isn';t verizon then their name won't show. but i really like the phone. if you want mp3 in it you need the memory card. if you want to get moving pics in your phone it has to be in EBA format. and all your pics have to be 240x400, 400x240, 320x240 and such. if uit's only like a pixel off it won't let it go into the phone. and your ringtone kb is limited to only 120. it has to be exactly 120 or less. you can't change your texting ringtone, only the default ones you can change. and the data manager is a pain in the butt. took me like an hour to do cause i kept screwing up. since my computer isn't 100% korean a lot of the things came out in question marks so i had to guess a lot. there are a lot of menus and with other sky phone users you can wirelessy (for free) send ringtones pictures, graphics, you know the works. but i really like this phone and do not regret you know... getting it : D

hey dankyung can you help with SKY Datamangager? I have downloaded Datamanager 2.15 and I tried installing the driver but Windows keeps popping up the "Found New Device" window. I tried pointing it to "C:\Program Files\SKY Manager\SKY USB Driver" but it didn't work. Can you send me your working driver and datamanager? Or have a link for me to DL? I would really appreciate it!

*EDIT - I finally figured out how to upload mp3s and pictures and installed the driver correctly. IF you want to upload pictures you gotta crop and resize them to 240x400 and use SKY DataManager to upload to it. As for mp3, you have to have a microSD card reader in order to transfer files.

How the heck do you put on mp3? I thought you have to use melon to do it which is impossible because they need you to verify your phone number which is impossible because the phone isn't being used in Korea.

if i remember correctly, the "z" and "q" were in odd places haha. aaanyway, so since a lot of you have this phone, i had some questions... which i've kinda been posting already in other threads prior to finding this one... oops

so i live in california and have verizon (obviously).
i used to use this phone for like 3 months.
yeah i can never tell who texts me and i would be dropped during calls with FULL reception.
did any of you experience dropped calls? and do you think it happens with all sky phones?
i currently use a shine phone that i brought from korea but it never drops my calls. so maybe all cyon phones don't experience dropped calls?

i really want to give sky another try. but dropped calls is not good especially during important work calls ...
