It's more usedful even in "not-so-purely-science-centered" majors.

Elementary statistics for the most part seems to just be simple probabilities, normal distribution, standard deviation, z-scores, t-score, chi squared and khypothesis testing. I'm working on my BS in math, but dang it's a pain. Double majoring seeminly isn't worth it.

seeen, well i don't know if you'll need that in nursing since i dont know much about nursing. But those stuff (besides probability, since there's really no such things about probability) are quite useful in some sectors, like pharmaceutical companies and lab experiments as well as field experiments. Psychologists use these tests, or scores you call them and hypothesis testing. I miss doing stats

stats is way easier than precalc. the first week of stats, you'll learn something like "if a quarter is tossed into the air, what chance do you have that it will land HEADS?" rofl
