its on mininova, if you look up "bu neng shuo de mi mi"
its a really small file, but the quality isnt bad at all.

anyways about the movie, i really enjoyed it alot, even though things dont add up.
his dad was so cute trying to cheer him up!!!!

I've seen the movie. As musician, I really loved it I was quite impressed with his piano skills...I don't know if its really him playing but the movie itself was quite spectacular for romantic fans out there. The cinematography is impresive and the story is just adorable ^__^ It's worth the watch.

omg.. i cannot get over the piano duel scene and hte final scene *sighs*
definitely worth watching/rewatching.. even if youre not a huge jay fan <33

why the girl can't recognized Jay??

spoiler alert!

i'm not so sure about this but i assume the reason why she couldn't recognize jay was because he traveled a bit further back in time.. when the girl still doesn't know him and the 'secret'
jay successfully went back to the girl's time as the school was about to be fully demolished..
he went on living in the girl's time..

remember the verses. "Follow the notes upon a journey, At first sight marks ones destiny. Once the journey comes to an end, return lies within hasty keys".... The important thing to remember is the first 2 lines.....If you follow the notes(playing it as it was meant to be played), you will be transported to the future.....once in the future...the rules applies....which means the first person who you will see will be the only one who see you....

now...the fourth line only says that when you are ready to return....you have to play the piece fast.....but playing the piece fast means the journey is coming to the end....when u finish the piece...everyone will be able to see you...cuz the rule does not apply after you return...that is why jay was in the picture in the end....because he only followed the last verse....

Being able to only be seen by the first person only applies when going to the future since they only said when the piece was played at regular speed you go on a journey thus you can only be seen by one person. Since when xiao yu was able to be seen when she went back why cant jay be seen when he went to the past.

Just thought that I'd dig this thread up because I just watched it (yes, how slow) and I absolutely LOVED it. The ending scenes were so moving that I actually started tearing. Such a good movie! And I can't get over how good his skills because he DID play, direct and co-write it. Wow.

I also just saw it and was definitely pleased. Though I did not think much about Jay's acting before and it sorta deterred me from watching the movie, it was a brilliant movie (even if Jay's acting is still pretty bleh). Gui Lun Mei's acting is fantastic! She carried the movie for me, besides the plot and the music.

Movies with stories dealing with this kinda theme will definitely lead to many unanswerable questions...........so let's just sit back and enjoy it for what it is.

May I say... Secret is the BEST PIANO MOVIE OUT THERE. And you get to look at Jay Chou's beautiful face to boot. When is Jay Chou going to make another movie, because that guy is a great director! Why should I be surprised...he's a protege at everything! I think all the piano scenes were actually played by him, because he's a musician, and there's also a clip of him playing Turkish March with Yundi Li, the famous pianist:Jay and Yundi playing Turkish March

I downloaded the OST and I listen to it all the time. The best songs are: The Swan, Secret, Angel, Fu Yu Zi, Lu Xiao Yu, Jiao Ta Che, Dou Qin (The Piano Duel).

Truly, a beautiful masterpiece.

i got a question about the last picture.. which one was jay?.. i thought the person to the right of Rain was jay, but other people say its the guy with the glasses, or someone else...

plus i dont even see Kwai lunmei in the music vid of Yue Ding o.o

Okay I feel like an idiot for passing on this movie at first but I finally persuaded myself after two months to watch it and WOW, it passed my expectations and I loved it....the ending left some unanswer questions for me yet it made me felt that it was a happy ending and I felt happy and light hearted watching it.
Totally reconmended! Lovely piano scenes!

I'm currently watching <Crying out Love in the Centre of the World> and I noticed something very similar. It's plagiasm actually -- it's like exactly the same. <Secret> copied it from <Crying> though, cause <Crying> was released before <Secret>.

There is a scene where Aki touches Saku's cheek with her finger.

he played that song on the piano in the crumbling building so he could go back in time and be with lu xiao yu. when they see each other in the classroom, she doesn't know who he is anymore, but he's just happy to see her again.
