I found this article about SDB performing at a concert for the International Boat Festival set to start tomorrow. It will be taped by KBS for its "Open Concert" show and set to air on July 31, 2009 (for the Busan Sea Festival). She is also listed on the "Open Concert" website as performing at Jeju Island on 5/9 and for the festival on 5/20.

I have been thinking about the Marbi reunion and I am a bit torn. I love Marbi on WGM but Marco is not a strong actor. Since this is SDB's initial steps into acting, I want her to surrounded by...well..good actors (especially this may be SDB's entry in the Japanese market). I think it would be fine if Marco was a supporting actor rather than the male lead. I do like how they are loading up on the guys who would go after Dambi. . .pretty realistic to me

Also, I am glad that Hype Nation is not going forward. .. Dance movies in the U.S. have bombed and been ridiculed (see Jessica Alba in Honey). Dambi will be type-casted as a "dancer" and not an actress. It will get no love and kill Dambi's career in the U.S. Also, look at how well she is doing now because the movie could not go forward. Also Dambi could use more time to train for acting and her English. Knowing her, she would want to get it perfect before presenting herself in these new fields. Sometimes, things work out better even though it looks bad at first. Dambi needs to solidify herself first in Korea, then Asia, and then the U.S/Europe.

Here are the details about SDB's new drama!!!!

After completing all his movie projects on hand, Kim Bum will next be embarking on a new drama project together with Son Dambi and Joo Jin Mo for SBS Dream. It was announced today that the new Mon-Tue drama will see Kim Bum becoming a tough guy again who practises mixed martial arts. He will thus shed his gentle, pretty boy image that was forged in Boys Before Flowers and revert back to his charismatic, rebellious image shown in East of Eden.

Dream is a sports drama about Kim Bum who turns good after being in a youth correctional facility. Joo Jin Mo a sports agent who assists Kim Bum in becoming a top mixed martial arts exponent. Son Dambi, more known for her singing and whose Hollywood movie went up in smoke, will make her acting debut in this drama instead. Dambi will be acting as the daughter of a mixed martial arts academy director.

Filming for Dream will commence soon, with the broadcast set for September.

There's a lot of expectations for IRIS, but Dream seems like it'll be a good drama as well. And it should be, considering that the beautiful Son Dambi will be gracing the screen.

SDB calling her oppa (who is a director) and telling him that a big record company is seeking a new singer and that she is returning to Korea for an audition. Her oppa tells her to give it up and not to go. She responds that she has to go and must do so with confidence. Oppa warns her that if her dad finds out, he will not let her out of the house. She reluctantly states that she will not go. After she hangs up the phone, she says that her oppa's reaction is as she expects but she is already in Korea. . .hehehee.
