For the past three years, I've played various sports at my school. I was never athletic until i got to Junior High. and surprisingly i found a unknown talent.

i played volleyball, cross country, basketball, tennis, track&field, soccer, and Softball. (i think thats all of it)

at each sport i have been on the best team, whether it be A Team or varsity... just the best...

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: I may be good(?) (other people's opinion i swear i think i'm bad at it)...but I am not the best.
Tennis is the only sport i am pretty good at...if i work at it..i could be the best (sry not trying to be all concieted here)

alot of people have told me that i should this sport, or this sport...

today my dad told me i should do tennis...and only tennis...cuz my body is designed as a tennis player..

i told my dad that if i was to go for a sport i truly like it would be either bball or soccer...

but nowadays bball is sooo competive its not as fun anymore...
and soccer...i ABSOUETLY!! ENJOY PLAYING...but i'm not soo good at running.. tongue.gif

see the thing about tennis...is i never really liked playing it...i find the game to tedious and simple...

now i'm reconsidering if i should switch to tennis and ONLY tennis... i mean why play sports your good at. but probably never be the BEST at...when you already know your good at something...and could be the BEST...

and now i really don't know what to do..should i
stay in softball and just play....cuz its fun..
or should i go for tennis...which i'm really good at...and could be the best (well not THE best...but better than any other sport i play)

i think u answered ur own question already lol
if ur really good at tennis, then just focus and spend ur time developing into a better player.
so yea..stick with tennis. softball is not as good for u, i won't get into it here but yea, tennis is better for u. also track and field. look into that too =)

Tedious and simple? huh.gif I have never heard anyone who REALLY plays tennis call it tedious and simple. Unless you only play against people who suck really really really bad.

Play the sport you WANT to play. If you don't really like tennis, but like softball and think it's fun, shouldn't the answer be obvious?

I was kinda in the same situation as you. My dad and his family are all about golf. They made me play golf for freshman year in high school when I didn't want to. I played for a year and it was ok, but I wanted to play tennis more than ANYTHING. So I switched and I LOVEEE it.
Life is friggin' fantastic.

Why would you want to play a sport that you don't like? If you like softball, stay in it. If you're happy, stay where you are. Tennis won't make you happy just because someone else told you that you should do it.

I'm in softball as well and I'm loving it (McDonald's).

I think you should play a sport that YOU LOVe and ENJOY if youre not going to enjoy it then really wats the point.. even if your good at it you should feel a passion for it.. but thats just what i think,, hehhe hopefully this helps ^v^ and hopefully you can tell us what you chose..~

yea it is kind of an obvious answer...play the sport you enjoy! even if ur not that good at softball compared to tennis play softball! who cares if u can be really good at tennis u have to like it to get that motivation in you...if that makes sense..

anywayz i play tennis and absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but seriously it's not tedious and simple...ask any dedicated tennis player and they would think opposite of that..
maybe its only like that to you because u just hit the ball and thats it? do u spin the ball? do u only do groundstrokes and no volleys or anything?(not really possible though...) do u have a flat serve?

try learning how to top spin or if u already do then...try slicing and kick serve..

u don't have to stick to one sport though...stick to softball but play tennis for fun!
