Most of the uncommercialized ones are still copies tho - usually from really old ideas or foreign concepts
i mean im not saying no-one copies but its like no one has an original idea anymore - like movies from books, movies from plays, movies taken from ideas of a collective of movies
Yes, there are loads and loads of movies being made that aren't new ideas, whether it's based off of another movie, a book, a play, or what have you, but it's
always been like that and I don't think it's a bad thing. I mean, most of the films from the
1920's that I've seen were based on books. A good movie is a good movie, original or not, just because a movie isn't completely original doesn't mean it's going to be bad.
Most of films in general aren't original, but I definitely think that most of the original ones are ones that the average American movie goers probably haven't heard of. I just thought of a bunch of completely original movies from the past couple of years, and they're more of the arthouse type.

i mean i know foreigin films copy aswell...but like not in the extent that US copies? if u get me??
i just think they should try promoting asian films n the mainstream rather than just making a remake - they would save so much money by doing tht!!!!
Sounds good in theory, right? But the truth is most Americans don't want to watch foreign films. A lot of them are too artsy and -yes- smart. They don't star hunky A-list Hollywood actors and most of the newer ones are sub-titled, which a lot of Americans hate. Films are different from every country and let's face it, a lot of Americans don't like things that are "different".
