I got my computer fixed and I was wondering how I change the ruler measurements from cm to inches in Microsoft Office Word 2003
Also, how do I change the default font to Times New Roman and font size to 12?
cuz right now, the font is 바탕 (Batang) and font size as 10..

I did it before, but it's been awhile so I forgot..
can anyone help me?? sweatingbullets.gif

hey there~~

okay, well:

to change your ruler measurements from centimeters to inches:
1. click on 'Tools' in the menu bar on microsoft word 2003.
2. click on options
3. in the options window, click on the "General" tab.
4. near the bottom of the options window, there should now be "Measurement Units:" with centimeters selected in the drop down box. change it to "Inches"
5. click "OK" =]

to change the default font you need to open your normal.dot template. to do this:
1. open up microsoft word 2003.
2. click on "File" in the menu bar and then "Open"
3. in the open window and next to "files of type", select the drop down box and click on "Document Templates (.dot)"
4. navigate to your normal.dot template: usually in C:\Documents and Settings\<<your user name>>\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\
5. double click on Normal.dot to open the file.
once you open the normal.dot file, you can now change the font to times new roman size 12 by:
1. in microsoft word, look for a drop down box with "Normal" in it. this is usually located next to the drop down box where you select your font. click on it.
2. select "More"
3. the "styles and formatting" task pane should have now opened. under "Pick formatting to apply" hover over "Normal" and click on the down arrow that appears when you hover over "Normal"
4. click "Modify"
5. the "Modify" windows should now appear, modify the formatting section to what appears below:

6. click "OK"
7. click the save button and your done!

haha... sorri if the some of the instructions are confusing, i just didnt know how better to explain it =\ best of luck

thank you =)

do you know how to change the Korean to English as default?

simple! to change your default language from Korean to English:
1. double click the "Korean" text you circled.
2. in the language window that opens, look for "English (U.S.)" (im guessing its US you want, if not just look for your country. the dictionary is different for certain countries). highlight your choice by clicking it
3. click "Default..."
4. click "Yes" on the confirmation message.
5. click "Close"
6. restart word

hope that helps!
