ok...
this is confusing! REAL confusing! anyone can let me know whether is this right or wrong?
here it goes..
4:5 = 80%
4:5 = 4/5 = 80%
4:5 = 80%
so, is 4:5 = 80%?
can anyone tell me this?
at first i disagree that 4:5 = 80% but now, i am confused..

no it is wrong
4:5 means 4parts to 5parts. therefore 9 (4+5) parts all together
and 4:5 DOES NOT equal to 4/5
that is
4 parts to 5 parts DOES NOT equal to 4 parts OF 5
one thing is right though, 4/5 does equal 80%
so therefore this statement is WRONG 4:5 = 80%
4:5 = 4/5 = 80%<< the bold bit is incorrect (man i repeat a lot. but hopefully you get the point)
who told you this anyway??? +_______+

just viewed your profile...your 18? O___O

Although 4:5 in betting terms is 80% return on the dollar...
However 4:5 is a ratio and not a percent.
Example
There are 72 apples and 90 oranges, that is a 4:5 ratio.
