Anyone else get the idea that the K underground section is just a half-pop section for people interested in rap music?

For instance, there are already 2 threads about Epik High. Come on!

lol yeah, I was expecting groups like Nell, Bluedawn, Humming urban stereo, etc. here, but instead I find Clazziquai (pop!) & Epik High (rap!) laugh.gif

From a popularity point of view, nope sad.gif but since the k-underground definition mentioned here is "non-pop," I thought they'd fit tongue.gif

I think people should stop complaining about the Epik High and Seo Taiji topics, and make their own if they want some variety.
There was nothing to fear,
and nothing to doubt.

Lets not forget Epik High were once "Underground".
Yea its true we don't see topics and threads with underground mc's, but thats mainly because not much of them are spread out/known in the states. I mean it's little known in korea too...

But thats how i like it. Although its sad, and they should get more credits + attention, but that makes hiphop more... whats the word... unique.
Thought that works miracles.

Uh, I just meant like this problem was sort of ghetto. I guess I should've used ghetto instead of Jewish. My lingo is not really sub par with everone elses huh? Lmao. Okay. Sorry about that.

yep seems liek anything movement related is posted here...

its the fact that a lot of the movement started off as under then got really popular which intentionally or not made them mainstream in a relative sense. This is in a nutshell, but the k hip hop listeners should know what im talking about.

The point is, yep, they dont "really" belong in "underground" at the moment... not the likes of tiger jk, dd, epik and leessang anyway....

what we SHOULD be talking about here in the 'underground' section, that is in the 'hip hop' side of things is

leo, p-type, the quiett, paloalto, tbny, etc etc.....

yep.

well, isn't that kind of likely to happen?
the underground forum is merely a subforum of k-music on SOOMPI.
no one cares what you think.
