Hi i'm looking or a new phone. i currently have tmobile's t809 ( http://www.itnewsonline.com/images/news/Samsung-t809-ss.jpg ) and it broke.
i was looking at the blackberry white pearl 8100 but i'm not too sure since the reviews for this phone isn't too great.

t-mobile doesn't carry many good phones. i would rather simply buy an unlocked phone [gsm] and use it with t-mobile instead.

yea i've got tmobile, not many great phones to choose from tho. i have the samsung t629 which is kinda similar to ures(silver slider). its alright at least i like it. =) lol

I have t-mobile, we take the $150 cash instead of the phone and just buy an unlocked one.

it's kinda gay considering that my phone is kinda old ..? lol.
but whatever. verizon always has hot new phones out.

sidekick 3, mda, blackberry pearl, or sidekick id if u dont have alot of money and sidekick slide when it comes out....those are all smart phones but i love them!

If you plan to get the Blackberry Pearl 8100: keep this in mind if you want to listen to mp3's using the media player: I had converted several mp3's from 192 kbps and 128 kbps to a very low quality, but the sound of the mp3's aren't very good because it comes out scratchy.
The handheld does not support Windows Media Audio (.wma) files.
o Trying to play WMA files may cause the handheld's functions to freeze.
· T-Mobile recommends that you transfer media files to a microSD card,
which is compatible with the handheld.
o The handheld's RAM (internal memory) limit is 2.86 MB (megabytes).
· This information is specific to audio and video files and assumes that
media copy protection is not an issue.
o EXAMPLE: Using Media Player to open Excel documents does not work.
Audio Files
The following audio formats (including extensions) are supported:
· ACC
o Audio compression formats: AAC, AAC+, and EAAC+.
· AMR
o Adaptive Multi Rate-Narrow Band (AMR-NB) speech coder standard.
§ Supported AMR-NB rates are 4.75 KBps, 5.15 KBps, 5.9 KBps, 6.7 KBps,

If you get a Blackberry, Sidekick, MDA, and whatever else is in the smart phone range, then you most likely have to buy a data plan. You can get away with not having too.
Some people say they might release some new phones once they can get 3G/HSPDA going to accompany there new high speed.
As of now, buying unlock phones is better.
