What do you think fits well for people who are quiet/shy? I don't know if any major in college fits my personality so i don't really know if there is a point of going to college.

You know, there really isn't any job industry out there for introverted people. I have social anxiety too, I'm probably one of the worst out there.

I'm going into book publishing, and I thought I wouldn't have to interact with people as an editor.. but I learned that I still have to meet with a lot of people such as authors and literary agents.

So.. I would really recommend just trying to open up. I've gotten a little better, but it's still hard for me too. We just have to put up with it. It's all about connections these days to get far in your workplace, and you need to be able to meet new people to do that. But I guess, book publishing is a better industry to go into for shy people, rather than.. say publicity or business.

Computer programmers have to interact with others, and the people who tell them what to do.. and tech support I guess can be all text based so not bad at all. Now the question is what if you're so shy... you can't really get yourself to go out to try to get the job?

I can be introverted too. I learned though that when you're that way all the time it can hold you back. So I think you should try to find a major that helps you grow as a person. It can be uncomfortable at times doing something that is not in your normal personality but it could be beneficial for you in the long run. That's how I feel about majoring in Journalism.

Accounting? But is hiding from the world the best thing to do?

I think this would apply better. But none of those careers sound very appealing to me..

Currently, I'm still attending FIT, its a college in NYC for fashion technology.
I'm majoring in fashion design right now and as a part time job, I'm a fashion designer assistant.
I love my job currently because I get to know what goes on in the real world of fashion designing.
Once I graduate, I'll be able to become a full time fashion designer.
I was inspired by my aunt, she's a fashion designer also, and her life seems great, relaxed, and a high salary to go along with that. =)

You'd be surprised. My cousin is a paralegal and while she has two teams that work under her she spends many many many nights at work.. alone.. working.. and when she comes home she's like =_=; and I see her and I'm like T_T" so I let the dog loose to try and make her happy.gif but she's more like O_O because the dog likes to try and jump on her.

...hopefully this make sense. WoO!! +1 for "being on top" ahhahahaha

I don't know about that. I'm a lawyer (sort of... I mean, I work as one but I don't know if I passed the bar yet) and I'm pretty introverted. So are a lot of the people I went to school and work with. Studies have shown that most lawyers are introverts: http://practice.findlaw.com/law-practice-m...181/000093.html.

I work for a matchmaking/ social events company and I really love my job. I think it's such a fun job!! ( Mixingsingles.com) - I am an event coordinator, so I plan events for singles to get together and have fun. We are not one of those online company, we have an office and we serve locals in Orange County & LA area.. smile.gif

I am biased as I think I have one of the most fun job.. I am really outgoing so I think my job is perfect for me.. I get to plan tons of fun events and match people up.. If any of you guys are watching Love & Marriage ( the kbs series that's airing right now)- I'm pretty much doing similar things to the female lead in there.. haha... It's so cool to have a series that's abit related to my work field.. hehe

you should relax a bit on the down payment and extend your deadline some how because if you are having tough times to support yourself with necessities then you are obviously placing your financial priorities elsewhere above your own well being.

make a new budget to set aside for down payment each month and at the same time have enough to money to support yourself in present day.

i guess im just looking for an easy way out, which never exists. thanks... i think i need to rethink my priorities.

easier said than done, but think of an idea and start your own side gig. run on your own time and schedule. never know what might pop out.
