I'm going into book publishing, and I thought I wouldn't have to interact with people as an editor.. but I learned that I still have to meet with a lot of people such as authors and literary agents.
So.. I would really recommend just trying to open up. I've gotten a little better, but it's still hard for me too. We just have to put up with it. It's all about connections these days to get far in your workplace, and you need to be able to meet new people to do that. But I guess, book publishing is a better industry to go into for shy people, rather than.. say publicity or business.

I think this would apply better. But none of those careers sound very appealing to me..

I'm majoring in fashion design right now and as a part time job, I'm a fashion designer assistant.
I love my job currently because I get to know what goes on in the real world of fashion designing.
Once I graduate, I'll be able to become a full time fashion designer.
I was inspired by my aunt, she's a fashion designer also, and her life seems great, relaxed, and a high salary to go along with that. =)

I don't know about that. I'm a lawyer (sort of... I mean, I work as one but I don't know if I passed the bar yet) and I'm pretty introverted. So are a lot of the people I went to school and work with. Studies have shown that most lawyers are introverts: http://practice.findlaw.com/law-practice-m...181/000093.html.

wow that sounds like a neat job to try! i wouldn't mind coordinating fun events like those at all!

you should relax a bit on the down payment and extend your deadline some how because if you are having tough times to support yourself with necessities then you are obviously placing your financial priorities elsewhere above your own well being.
make a new budget to set aside for down payment each month and at the same time have enough to money to support yourself in present day.

i would like to extend my deadline but i really hate living at home. my goal is set around late spring, early summer... thinking about living at home for another YEAR makes me depressed...
i cant really work another job because my work schedule is so random. sometimes i dont even know im working until the day of.
i guess im just looking for an easy way out, which never exists. thanks... i think i need to rethink my priorities.

easier said than done, but think of an idea and start your own side gig. run on your own time and schedule. never know what might pop out.
