I was wondering if anyone from the US using Cingular can help me estimate my phone bill.
I was charged a lot like $ 1000 phone bill during my 1 month trip in Canada, which I thought was a rip off but since I don't even get a bill statement Im here to get some opinions.
Basically I had a US cell from New York, cigular to be exact and travelled to Canada for a month during which I made several calls to friends' canadian cells with my phone. I probably made several one hour calls but am pretty sure it was less than 10 hours in total. Is this charge justifiable? How much usage is reasonable for the $1000 charge?

Depending on your contract, yes it's quite possible. In the past, I have simply texted so much (local numbers) that my bill was $1000.
First of all, you were roaming in Canada. Second of all, you called international numbers. Also, your calls were quite long. For me (I used Verizon), my international calls can cost as much as $1-2 a minute.

I see. Do I have to pay receiving calls while abroad? Is it roughly the same as making calls?
Am not sure how it works in North America.
