i should post this in the pre-college section but i rather not.
For the upcoming school year, i've included Oracle in my roster.
What is oracle ? and what good does it do ? is it very useful ?
All i know that oracle is databasing ?

Basically it is database software... used primarily in large businesses. Thats all I know, ironically my sister works at Oracle now (after her original company PeopleSoft got bought out) as a software QA.

thats the thing, i only know that oracle is database o.o;; i really dont know what to expect when skoo starts but whatever. hopefully i'll come to understand it.

There you have it - its database software. While there are many database systems out there, Oracle is by and far (i believe) the one most often used in heavy commercial environments because its performances is much better when compared to SQL. While mySQL and several SQLs are great for low-volume projects, as its fast, stable&reliable, and simple to set up, bussinesses/people would definitely be using Oracle for large projects.
A friend of mine is actually a database admin - pay is approx. 84k
