even though i'll be surprised (in a good way),
but i honestly have nothing against it<3
i find it really hectic to have other cultures liking our music,
those people you mentioned are just tightly close-minded.
asians listens and appreciates to american music as well,
and it's fine if they do the same thing to our music.
right now i'm listening to kanye west,
does it make me look awkward and not fitting?
i don't think and no-one ever say so.
so it's absolutely cool for other people listening to asian music,
YOU'RE SO COOL TO LIKE ASIAN MUSIC~!
i'm really happy when i know our music is getting recognition (^u^)~

I think it's awesome.

Even I get negative comments when people find out I listen to Asian music. ._. Like, one day in my Forensics class back in high school. My lab partner wanted songs on his phone, so I told him. "It's in Korean". Then he was like, "Why do you listen to korean music for?". And he and his friend was like.. "you might as well listen to African music" and started to make clicking noises. -____-;

But seriously, I find it really cool when a non-Asian person takes interest in the culture(s). I mean, as long as you don't become overly obsessed, I think it's fine. smile.gif

I love listening to Korean, chinese, and Thai music but ethnicity wise, I'm not any of those. I don't understand what they're saying at all but I still like it.

One of my best friends (or actually, two of them) are caucasian and really into Kpop and Korean culture.
I really appreciate it too, 'cause it's telling me that there really are people open to stuff outside their bubble.
And I don't see why not.. the Korean pop culture is unique and catchy. biggrin.gif

But I what gets on my nerves are people who go waaaay overboard with their little obsessions and stuff and act immature about it.

Firstly, music is BOUNDLESS. Anyone can listen to any kind of music. It doesnt matter at all. So dont worry.

Secondly, whats wrong with being Asian? Is it THAT bad? Some people are just ignorant. So ignore them! (:

Thirdly, Im in the same situation as you!! Just that we are opposite. I am a Chinese who is very into Western music! So into western music that all my friends think that im tooo westernize.

HAHA! I cant believe theres someone who is experiencing the same thing as me!! Just the opposite!

HI BUDDY!! (x

Nice to meet you!!
