I only got my 30GB iPOD Video like 3 weeks ago on June 8th as a gift from my friends.

Last night, I think I slept with it on and when I woke up, I turned on one song to listen to it.
And then I wanted to listen to another song so I changed it but the moment I clicked on that song, it froze.

The screen is lit up and it shows the "Now Playing" screen but nothing happens when I press any of the buttons or the hold button.

I tried connecting it to my computer but it doesn't do anything at all.
iTunes didn't pop up like it usually does and when I open iTunes myself, it doesn't show that my iPOD is connected to the computer.

Also, it doesn't show up on my iPOD that it's charging or anything.
The battery was in the "red zone" when I woke up so it needed to be charged.

I went to the Apple website and this is what I found:
"Your iPod's battery may not be charged. Plug your iPod in, wait for a moment, press a button to turn it on, and check the screen. Here are some easy steps to get the most out of your battery. Note: On recent iPod models, when the battery is completely empty, your computer may not recognize your iPod for up to 30 minutes even though it's connected and charging."

So I plugged it in my computer and I left it there but it's been over 30 minutes and nothing's happening.

Did this happen to anyone? And if it did, please help!
My friends bought it for me so I don't want it to break or anything! And it'd be such a hassle to return it :[

Btw, I never dropped it :T
I didn't even remove the plastic yet sleep.gif

welcome to the club. You're going to have to wait until the ipod battery drains all the way down to 0%. Only then will it work again.

I had the same problem, but mine didn't freeze, it just didn't turn on again. I left it charging for a very LONG time, and finally got it to turn on again. It'll just take patience if the issue really is your battery.

The Apple website doesn't know EVERYTHING. Like I went on their forum and some people had the same problem. i sorta had this problem but I think my ipod has a virus that's all... But yeah. Instead of taking your ipod to the website just go to the apple store. The website knows NOTHING!
