one of my old, and i mean extremely old computers like .. exploded the other day.
ago, a long time ago, i was using that computer and the cd tray kept popping out of the pc. so i was like wth? eventually i got so mad and annoyed it wouldn't shut, i just slammed it into the pc. ...and i could never get the cd tray to open/come out again.... =__="
so, i was bored and i wanted to look at the old junk i saved on that pc.
well, i turned it on. (this wasn't the first time i turned it on since i broke the cd tray, btw) and the thing was running..booting..yknow. and i could hear the stupid cd tray try to open... and then all of a sudden, i heard a "boom"..and there was this terrible smell. i just left the room. the pc can't turn on anymore. (the screen's fine? ^o^")
fixable? hahaha ?
and should i leave a computer that "blew up" just sitting there? o_o

You're going to want to check exactly what blew up. Once the coast is clear (like after an evacuation), take the tower and open it up using a screwdriver (undo the screws in the back or side). Take off the outer casing and examine it to see which part blew. If it's a "non-essential" part, then it's fixable. If it's a hard drive, power supply, cd drive, motherboard...um...replaceable, but it'll depend if it can be recovered.
Check first, then we'll see what happened.
[EDIT] DON'T FORGET TO UNPLUG THE COMPUTER FIRST!

Your power supply probalby blew up. Why? I don't know
I guess it could have sit around and just... decided to give up on you after collecting dust for a while.
If you want, like they said pop open the computer. Except just take out the hard drive and install it into your newish computer and use it like a second drive there to see what you have in it
