which digital camera (from your personal experience) has the best battery life? i have a sony dsc-t7 and the battery life on it sucks, in my opinion... whenever i use flash, i can only take about 2 hours worth of pictures before my camera dies.
i want to buy a new camera soon and i want it to be efficient with its battery life. any recommendations?

whenever you buy a new battery, the first time you use it, drain the battery completely before recharging it
then the next few times you use it, recharge it whenever
repeat the first step every month or so

I have a Canon PowerShot A610. The batteries last pretty long. Over 2 hours, that's for sure. According to this site:
Shooting Capacity: Still Image: approx. 350 shots (AA-size Alkaline Battery), approx. 500 shots (AA-size NiMH Battery)
Playback Time: Approx. 960 min. (AA-size Alkaline Battery), approx. 960 min. (AA-size NiMH Battery)
That sounds pretty accurate for me. Then again, it does use 4 AA batteries. lol.

i have the canon sd630...
love it, 2.5" screen..
it's not bulky or anything at all..
as for the battery life, according to its specs, it can do 160 pictures...
of course you can do more cuz i know i do....
but if i have it fully charged, and i take like say 50 pictures...
then don't charge it for maybe even more than a week,
take another 50 shots, no charging yet,
can still be another week...
it's been pretty good with battery life...
the only thing is, unlike most other digi cams,
it doesn't have a battery meter or the screen... =S
but it'll let you know if its dying with a flashing red battery icon...
when that shows up it could usually last me at least 10 to 20 shots with flash..
possibly more if i'm not using flash =)
i know there's an updated model...
i think its the canon sd750 or something like that.. 7something
