and now.. i know what im doing and i know what it takes to do it and im really focused... so yeah...

I feel like I'm so screwed!
Everyone around me KNOWS what they want to do but I just feel sort of lost sometimes. When I was in high school I kind of had an idea of what I want to do in life but now I'm not so sure anymore. soooooo to sum up everything...I FEEL LOST. you're not alone. :[

Starting of High School, I wanted to do Computer Science and Engineering and develop games. However, that went down and I wanted to do entrepreneurship and that went down too. Near the end of my senior year, I really was geared towards architecture.

However, architecture didn't seem as practical and didn't seem as stable. I decided to go with Civil and Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on structures =0. I'm very confident that this is the job for me and this is what I want. The job security is very nice, and it isn't hard to find a job.

i have ALWAYS been confident about my future and how i was going to get there.
i have no time to waste ... simply because i have tons of loans.
but besides that, i went to a wonderful high school.
it helped me discover my passion and such, so i wasnt lost along the way.

im still confident.
i deserve a chance to build my future as everyone else, so imma do it.

My major and "career choices" are totally different from what I wanted to do in high school. well, as far as my career, it's kinda the same because I still have no idea what I want to do. My major changed from business to Japanese so I have several options, just not sure what I want yet.

I was living in a bubble in high school. I had no idea what everything was until it finally came up from my friends and teachers. Like, what the hell was the SAT and crap like that? Yeah, I know. So basically I dreamt my way through high school. I knew I wanted to do psychology, but I had no idea how I was going to get there. But during my junior year, I met someone who guided me and started to actually pay attention to things that were going on in school. xD

As I got into college, I finally stopped dreaming, and started making some practical plans for myself. I'm a psychology major. I'm planning to work in a lab soon. I know I want to go to grad school for child psychology...and eventually help kids with autism. So, yeah, my confidence has gone up, compared to high school.

I think it's normal to feel lost. Plans don't always work out. The first plan might not work, but the second probably will. ^^

I wanted to major in biochemistry but I'm not so sure anymore. I just finished my first year of university and it was....bleh. I'm sick of science but I don't like anything else.

So you're not alone :[

I knew what I wanted to do in high school (nursing), and I had my path planned out and everything.

Now? I'm lost and I'm thinking of doing something more English-oriented.

But I don't know. sad.gif

When i was in HS i knew what i wanted to be and how to achieve it. i always knew i wanted to be in the medical profession my medical club advisor
told me about PA and how it is almsot like a doctor... etc so I went into college as a biology major for the accelerated to be a
physician assistant. 3 years biology 3 years in a med. school for your masters. I thought if i maintain a good GPA and stay in the Deans list
i have a seat for sure. Then i had a friend who applied and got denied and she had a better GPA. There is only 60
seats open and ur competiting agains basically everyone else.

Now im thinking if i dont get in what can i do with a biology major? i been thinking about stoping my biology major for 2 years
and taking up RN. then go back for my biology degree because its a shame for me not to finish it. If i wanna go into BSN schools
offer fast track programs now. but im not sure yet it is still something im tossing around.

I didn't know what I was going to major in until I was a junior in high school, nor did I know where I was going to go.
With that, I got into college and at first (during the summer before my first semester of college), I thought things would be alright.
Then things gradually went down from there. sad.gif
Although I don't think I'm completely "screwed" right now, it sure feels like it.
I feel like I'm such a bad student, because of many factors and I don't know what to do. sad.gif

I thought things would be ok, but now I know that I'm totally screwed..
I don't even know why I'm in college.

I knew I wanted to be a chef so I started working in the restaurant biz early. Now I have enough experience in hand working with some of the top restaurant in the area and soon getting my A.S. and then moving on to culinary school. I know exactly where I'm going and how I'm gettin there biggrin.gif

don't feel alone. It happens to A LOT of people. It happened to me too...college crushed my childhood dreams. But it also opened new opportunities for me......so now I'm on a completely new path. But I love the field I'm going into now.

There's just so much learning and growth in college. However, some people are never able to pull themselves out of the "my life is screwed" stage...and become bums.

I'm also lost. Because I'm in an art course when I really want to do music. Actually, I'm torn between both. And then the study of Korean culture.

I'm kinda confused, but I love them all equally. I've accepted that I have to finish the art course before I take anything else[save violin and language lessons]. I can always go to orgs and stuff.

I'm definitley a lot more sure of what I want to do then when I first started going to college. Now I know I'm either going to stick with my political science major or go towards criminal justice. If I stay where I am I will teach American government at the high school level and if I go with criminal justice I will do public work and hope to get to the FBI someday.Oh I know how you feel. I'm in a way in the same situation since I'm trying to figure out which route to take even though I know now the outcome of the routes. I just have to figure out which one I want. Don't pressure yourself to take a path. It'll come when you're ready and my advice is to not make a move on something unless you're totally positive. If you're having so much trouble just let some time go and just concentrate on subjects like math, English etc. and get those out of the way and maybe even try talking to your advisor. Where it concerns high school I used to want to do a music major and get involved in that industry but now I'm into government and politics so my passions have definitley changed.
