I was wondering what factors into your decision for the major that you're choosing? Also, do you obtain a master's degree before you get a PhD? I'm interested in psychology, politics, history, and philosophy! I have a successful career, but I have to be honest that I don't want to have a lot of pressure because of it!

A lot of Ph.D. programs will REQUIRE you to have a masters degree before being accepted into the Ph.D. program.
But you have to know WHY you want a graduate degree.
If you're doing it for fun, then just get it in whatever you enjoy.
If you're doing it for career, something in the business school could produce a very nice return on investment unless your employer is specifically looking for something else (a computer programmer should get a masters in computer science or CIS, for example).
If you want to be a university professor, then it doesn't really matter so much just pick something that interests you. Although here as well you will find that certain fields will command a much higher pay - finance will pay handsomely while art history not so much.
If you want to be an author, any of those majors could potentially be fine.
So first you need to figure out why you really want the graduate degree. Once you know WHY you want it, that might guide you better towards what you want to study.
