There was a "Whats your Chinese last name" topic.. and i was wondering about people's first names...

I dont really like my name because everyone's like ... "Kei? As in Kei Guai (weird) ?" T__T"

My name is 海琦 (Hoi Kei - Hai Qi)
It means "Sea Treasure"

And my sister has the name "海珊" (Hoi San - Hai Shan)
Her name means "Sea Coral"

All my girl cousins also have the character 海 in their names as well.... our family isnt very original....

My chinese name is Zhi Lin,
given by my mom,
not some weirdo computer.
i can write it out,
as im fully chinese,
but i can't type it on my computer.
welp,
i dunno what my name means in chinese,
and it's not a direct translation either.
since, i checked and a direct translation would have been Zhi Yi.
written mucho differently than my real name. xD

I have no idea what it means but something about China judging by the GUO. lol
I really don't like the 幗 in it.

Mine's 舒敏. Shu Min in Mandarin. Shuu Man in Cantonese. It has no meaning. But I like to think of it as "relaxed and sensitive".

I'm Cantonese, but the name is more common in Taiwan. xD My younger sister has 敏 as well, except her first character is 靜.

She and I like to make fun of our names because in Cantonese, it's Shuu Jing...sort of like, "how much did you lose?"..and that's what we tell our parents whenever they go to casinos. xDDD
