Do you have any windows open in the background? Maybe you have spyware and it has like a browser ad that keeps changing every 5 seconds. And once the new image opens it clicks.. a lot of browsers make that sound when it opens a page.

a click from the computer itself or from the speakers? if it is from the computer itself it may be the hard drive. if it is from the speakers its more than likely accessing a web page or graphic (ie spyware)

Then you should have answered that it came from the speakers. "From the computer" would mean that it comes from within your cpu tower. Anyway, do as they say and sweep for bugs/spyware. Clicking usually comes from accessing websites, but it can also come from accessing folders and files.

Btw, is it a foreign-sounding click? Or does it sound the same as when you open a webpage and folder/file? If it's foreign, then whatever you have may be doing something else. Still, sweep for bugs.
