I just got mine the other day and I was searching up ways on how to put my own songs on here....

well, i found 1 way and it was to convert the mp3 file into mmf.... because the phone doesn't recognize mp3 files i guess

but when I do that and put it on my phone, the sound quality is so bad and the volume of it is very low

does any one know a way to put your own songs on this phone without it having HORRIBLE sound quality + volume ??

I'm not sure since I only have a 903SH and 904SH but have you tried AAC/MP4?

http://media-convert.com/ <- online converter

Here is my thread!

i was wondering where it went lol

anyways thanks, I tried .mp4 and .aac files and they sound a lot better.... volume is still a little low but it's ok

HOWEVER, I can't set these .mp4 or .aac song files as my ringtone! I don't understand why, because there are a couple of ringtones that came with the phone that are .mp4 files!

Only when i convert my own .mmf file songs, I am able to set them as ringtones.... but the quality of them is HORRIBLE compared to the .mmf ringtones already available on the phone =(

Hmm..maybe you have to lower the file size of the song? Or quality? There are limits on my phones, so might apply to yours too.

I'm not really sure if this is the case, but I think for it to be a ringtone it has to be 1MB or less. Read that somewhere. Or maybe I just made that up. Forgot. Oo Was just flying around in my head..

I apologize if I sound dumb, but I just got my phone and it came with the cd and cable but now i'm trying to upload some ringtones but i dont know how. I have some ringtones that are saved as .mmf format on my computer that i want to transfer to the phone with the data cable...at least thats how I would think you would do it...but it doesnt let me. I played around with the software but i have no idea how to transfer or upload ringtones. I now how to upload mp3's but i cant set that as a ringtone. I owned a samsung s300 and i had no problems transfering ringtones. Can someone please help? Thanks =)

i figured it out now. I had to update my software. The cd that came with it didn't give me the option to upload ringtones but I later clicked on the update option and updated the software. Now it gives me the option of uploading ringtones. thanks for the reply though =)

But now i have another concern. Are you constantly getting a rebooting problem? My phone reboots all the time when I try to make a call after I turn on the phone or take it out of my bag and even when I get calls. This is totally frustrating me. I googled this after and realized that there will be this problem if the phone operates on 2g sim cards which i believe is what Rogers and Fido uses.

hmm..would you know how to fix this?
