Yup, I love metal. My favorite genres are death metal and progressive metal. A few of my favorite metal bands are Opeth, Children of Bodom, Dream Theater, Death, Metallica, and the list just goes on.

mm yes I like but only to a certain point. Once it reaches to like Death metal-ish it just gives me a headache. I like ACDC, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Racer X, Megadeth and probably all the G3 line up. 80s Hair metal rocks!

Take a look at Hacride, Meshuggah, Mnemic, Carnival in coal, Mastodon, Burzum, Sybreed, Strappind Young Lad (and all Devin Townsend's stuff), Khanate, Melt Banana,... and so on.
(yep, I know, i'm not strictly talking about metal too )

Hum... I'm never really confident when I'm talking about genres of music (what's "funeral doom" ?) but I think Khanate will make you happy.

Shape of Despair

Funeral doom is a style that takes the slowness of doom metal to further extremes, and that puts a strong emphasis on an atmosphere of despair and emptiness. The style can be seen as a departure from death/doom, slowing down the music even further, and frequently incorporating influences from ambient music, creating a sound which is distorted and gloomy, but often dreamy at the same time. Vocals are usually growled, but are often much less in the foreground than in other styles of music, and are rather used to provide an additional texture to the music. The style was originally pioneered by Thergothon[1], and later also by Skepticism, Worship and Funeral; modern examples include Celestiial, Until Death Overtakes Me, Mournful Congregation, Remembrance, Torture Wheel, and Nortt.

The whole doom metal genre is kind of depressing
