This guy was a childhood crush of mine at the beginning of his tennis career - it's kinda embarrassing 'cause my dad still calls me too see "my boyfriend" whenever he's on TV even though I haven't mentioned him in 15 years. Watching each and every match he played when I was a kid is enough for my dad to remember, obviously XD
Anyway, I remembered him recently because there is this childhood friend of mine who I always thought looked very much like Ivanišević, but now that he's grown up and matured the resemblance is striking. Only my friend has fuller lips, bigger eyes, shoulder-long wavy hair, is taller and a professional basketball player, rather than a tennis player like Ivanišević. My relationship with this friend confuses me greatly so I might even post something about him in the Love/Relationships section, but for now I'd rather remain silent about that whole frustrating deal...

Goran Ivanišević is a former professional tennis player from Croatia. He is best remembered for being the only person to win the men's singles title at Wimbledon as a wildcard. He achieved this in 2001, having previously been runner-up at the championships in 1992, 1994 and 1998). Ivanišević's name is synonymous with his strong serve, which is one of the greatest to date. His career-high singles ranking was World No. 2 (behind Pete Sampras) in 1994.
