okay, so i was on soompi looking through threads for themes and stuff, and then i had to download this program called "xtheme.dll" or something like that.
yeah, so it told me to restart so i did, and when it opened again. the screen was BLACK. and a thing poped-up and said " xtheme.dll is not an availible image. i'm confused. i mean, right when it logs me in it does that :S is there anyway i can fix it without formatting my computer ? HELP. i'm desperate. i restarted it again and it was still like that. i tried going to " last good something " and " safe mode " [ cos' i was panicing ] and nothing happened : [

Xtheme.dll were you trying to change your window icons or something?

Well, either of those recovery options should help... the last known good config would hopefully undo those changes. Otherwise you should start to safe mode and consider deleting that file, or replacing it with the backup (I hope you didn't replace a file, but added one instead...)

OH wait is it for the XP theme stuff? Thats very odd try to navigate to it and rename it and hope windows will go O_O" or do a system restore in safe mode shoudl fix it.

lmao. umm, it popped up this window and it was like drag this in and there was a folder called " replacement " or something that it told me to drag.
help please, i'm desperate ! i'm going home soon and i wanna be able to fix it by then : [

HM if the screen doesn't go anywhere like it start off perfectly for awhile then it go blank or either black. Then try to go to safe mode.

if it perfectly running until you log in to windows then you should try to restore to a previous point of time.

I hope that helps. It happens to me. If it doesn't work ( it probably work if you restore ) then maybe you want to restore the entire computer.

Other than that I have no idea.
