Although I secretly want Setsuna to win in the battle against Ribbons,
I can't help but feel it is almost too predictable - a fairy tale ending.

The movie 'The Gladiator' buries at the back of my mind.
For those who don't already know, a powerful tragedy.

But you never know


Oh right! Almost forgot about that character. His long awaited fight with Setsuna is always interrupted.
I guess then Setsuna will be victorious against Ribbons, in order to fight Graham.

Or perhaps Graham will acknowledge Setsuna not an opponent but an ally and help him fight Ribbons?
That would be interesting. After all, Graham is a Captain Jack Sparrow-type of character.

They never actually showed the death of Ribbons, so I assume he escaped.
After all Setsuna appears at the end all healthy and alive which somewhat disappoints me...

they left the ending open to the possibilities of another season. I guess it all depends on whether the producers/network wants to renew it.

I would have been rather pleased if they just decided the whole world exploded and everyone on it died than have an ending where everyone magically survived much similar to what happened before reminding me of a never ending loop or journey that is sure to roll some eyes.

nah, they are just leaving the ending open for the Gundam 00 movie that's coming out in 2010.
