Finally theres a golden week of our chart, when we have 4 enters debut at Top 5. And the sales of Top 20 are very good, no albums get under 900+ copies!
First, talk about Fly To The Sky's Comeback, we see 10000+ copies for the 1st week are very good comprised with their nearly 10000 for last album 'Transition', so we dont have to worry about plastic surgery of Fany will effect the sales since lots of plastic actors have done bad at box office and TV ratings!
Then we can see 8 remake songs from the 80s to the 00s appear in SM Summer Album are doing well too, but maybe this thing depends on the artists' branches more than the music!
With Kim Dong Wan, he changes the release date from late June to the early July, I dont think its a right decision but lets see if he can hold Top 3 the next week when his long time mate: Lee Min Woo releases his 3rd album!
To Wanted, there hasnt been a easy road for them, but finally they has given us their 2nd volume. Are they showing their promise for a comeback which is true now with the title song 'I Promise You'? Anyways, Good luck!
Last, At the end of the chart, we welcome the first OST album in Top 20 'Money Warfare 1.5'. Traditionally, enters debut at low positions doesnt have much chance to appear again! But dont be sad, the casts' fans, the ratings are very wonderful, this week the drama gets 35.2% viewers in NationWide (No.1) and 36.8% in Seoul (No.1) too. Its surely Top 10 drama in 2007, and oversea fans will be crazy for the OST soon!

Hanteo charts is not very accurate.
They do not include all stores in Korea.
They only incorporate certain ones thus does not show total sales from all over Korea.

MIAK is the best place to gain information.

I was kinda afraid Fly to the Sky wouldn't sell very much, but I was wrong. =) I'm also glad SM is doing well...I love the concept of the album and the album title too. =)

But as far as I know, MIAK only releases the monthly sales, which Soompi has on its front page whenever they're released. Hanteo, while only a sampling, still gives a decent representation of the weekly sales.

Oh, it hurts my heart to see these numbers. Many US albums sell more in their first week than korean albums will sell total. So sad.

Besides, MIAK has been getting more and more inaccurate. A lot of record companies are not reporting their figures to MIAK. They are missing so many hot selling albums in their monthly rankings, and they won't correct it until a few months later.

Hanteo is rather accurate except they don't account for pre-order sales.

BTW, props to topic starter to include the SM Town album, because it is shown in a separate category on Hanteo's chart.

I think that is why a lot of Korean artists go to Japan and try to sell their albums, because Japan has the second largest music industry. The largest is obviously America.
