Been Rejected By A Company For A Stupid Reason? My Experience with Brosent

I was auditioning for Brosent Entertainment through email and passed.
After that, they told me to call Mr. Han, since he was in charge of my audition.
I don’t live in Maryland so I couldn’t call them just like THAT.
I lived half way across the country so it was going to be a long distance call.
I didn’t want to call them so I emailed them that I couldn’t call them.
Cause my mom had incidents with my little sister calling long distance for hours at a time,
Since her best friend moved out of state.
She didn’t tell my mother about the calls so when the phone bills came (for 2 months), it topped at $400.
It wasn’t like we were rich where we could afford everything. It drove us to a little debt where my mom cried for hours on end about how bad my little sister for getting a $400 phone bill since we could barely afford anything. We’re middle class people who are trying our best to live off of what we make.
Ever since then, she cut off the long distance calling plan and watched our every move on the phone.
They then emailed me again, within the next day, saying that they were insulted for me not being able to make a phone call to them.
I couldn’t believe them…I was shocked out of my mind. I couldn’t believe that they wanted to sever their ties with me just over a stupid phone call.
If they wanted to work with a person but gets offended this easily, why are they even auditioning people?!
I mean, I get it but still, I had a good reason for not being able to call them.
I’m not going to risk my mom’s sanity over people who aren’t willing to work with me just cause I can‘t call them. They told me to not reach them or even audition with them again.
Its not like I want to anyways.
I mean it. It was so stupid….
I wanted this so much. To the point where I would give up everything just to be there.
But I don’t want to work with people who just give up on the people who they are auditioning.
If they gave up this easily, what’s going to stop them from giving up on you later on?

I don't want to email them back cause I'm scared that it might be the actual people.
I offended me enough that they even said not to contact them again.
Could someone help me?
Since its a pretty recent thing. Just got the email today.

but from most of the tread i read, bros. ent. will only reply you with something like "they most likely won't review again from people who failed an audition before" but they didn't state that people who had failed their auditioned before wouldn't make it into bros. ent. ever though .. so i guess something like don't contact them ever might not be sent by representive of bro. ents?

It was definitely a hacker!! I can't believe that they would say that.
Bros. Entertainment even have on their website of how much their artists are so important to them and the company.
Don't believe what you got..seriously..as heart wrenching as it is..just let it go..it was most likely not them at all.
As a matter of fact if I was you I would send them an email again explaining the situation and what you just experienced.
This is really unprofessional of them, and they shouldn't even be in business if it was truly them. And I highly doubt that it was them.
Don't lose hope and I am so sorry that you had to get that...grr...that makes me mad...I got something like that too..and I was so shocked I nearly cried..

They sure receive a LOT of auditions and when they open the door for you, you can't waste any time. Yes, they will go to the next person if for any reason, you can't step through that door, but still. It is not professional to be rude to people like that. They should have told you to audition again once your money issue were resolved, so they could put your case on hold for the time beeing.
I would give you 2 littles advices. First, I would recommend you to write a letter (not an email) to the executives of the company, about how you were treated, in a very polite, short and honest way. Second, I would recommend you not to give such many details about your money situation. It may looks like you are giving excuses, that you are not autonomous, trying to buy some time before calling, blah blah blah... Just a simple "I truly appologize; my current situation dose not allow me to make long distance call. Is it possible to make some arrangments of some sort for me to contact Mr. Han as soon as possible ?" or such.
On that, dont give up. Audition again once this crisis is over. They may not even remember you.
Good luck.

i believe they did send you that.
ask any aspiring models they would tell you how rude these so-called agents/ect are.
also....
this is just like a job-seeking.... it must be important for the job-seekers to call LD.
its the fact of life because if they don't have you, there are tons of others waiting for the opportunity.
life is cruel & sad in the entertainment industry.

If you really wanted to be an entertainer so much, you should have called.
They've giving you a once in a lifetime opportunity, and if you have to fly somewhere to audition or perform somewhere...it's going to cost more than a long distance phone bill. Plus you can always just pay your mom for the long distance calls, unless you talk for hours on end...the most it can probably ring up is like $40.

i dont' think it would be a hacker telling you to call... if it was a hacker... wouldn't that mean that the phone number shouldn't work then? (do hackers have that much time to do this? they'd just be rude to start)
for the 2nd e-mail that sounds quite rude... it's possible that it was a hacker because it's not very professional at all to insult you. but at the same time could it be that you were very angry at that moment and interpreted it as a really harsh insult? i don't know =S either way best of luck with this ^^
if one company has interest in you, i'm sure others will too

eh, but they'd already contacted her. and did she provide them with a phone number in her audition or not?
i'll probably seem bad for saying this, but the times I dealt with Korean industry people it was different than dealing with american music people...it may seem to someone from the States unprofessional or amateurish even, though they are indeed very picky...
as far as the op's issue...maybe the phone call from mother will fix it, but brothers did come on here and post before that anyone who posted their online communications would have a lesser chance of getting help from them.

To Cassiopeia: I got the same exact email..saying to "contact Mr. Han" and gave me a number...so the next day I actually didnt worry about the long distance call...and I called..Mr. Han picked up and we started talking in Korean. Mr.Han seemed to be really confused...so after we talked for a long time about just the ent. business, I emailed Mr. Boone again, and asked about the recent reply about contacting Mr. Han...and he said that it was the hacker and that hes sorry.
So yeah, everyone...please dont think negatively about Bros...I'm sure theyre going through a lot right now trying to figure out who the hacker was, emailing back everyone who was offended and explaining their situation, etc.
Keep trying to achieve your dream with Bros~~~~ Theyre more professional than most of us think
--edit: I dont believe this is a "private convo" so...hope this doesnt "increase my chance of not making it" haha
