I'm sure all the Asian guys and girls here have heard the asian penis stereotype jokes before.

Does anyone know what is the best possible way to respond to a penis joke is?

I'm happy with my penis lol, it's a pretty nice average size and it's definitely not small but I never really know how to respond when someone makes a penis joke towards Asians. I mean... I can understand the stereotype because there are more smaller people in Asia so the chances of finding small body parts are higher but still, that doesn't mean everyone is like that. These jokes feel like a trap that I don't know how to get out of.

For example, if I just ignore them like they are stupid, they get all happy that I'm quiet about it and they start saying that it's true because I'm accepting what they are saying.

Okay... and if I try to defend myself and say my penis is not small, then they will always pull the trick where they make me sound like I'm in denial or something.

Another option would just be to whoop out my penis in public but we all know that doesn't end well since I can get in trouble for that.

So... this is where I need Soompi's help. Help me figure out how to respond to these jokes.

I know these guys want to make themselves feel better about their manhood but damn, why do they have to disrespect an entire race just to do that?
Haha, I have a lot of immature A-holes at my current school and they do this to a lot of Asian guys. Then they always tell the Asian girls stuff like "Why do you like small penises?" or "You need to be with a REAL man."

Yeah... tough crowd where I am eh? Well this problem is more aimed towards the guys but I'm sure everyone from Soompi has ideas and suggestions on good ways to respond. This thread should be helpful to a lot of people

No point in fighting it, embrace it! I don't have many asian friends and sometimes they see some things I have in my apartment all going, "OH MY GOD THAt'S SO ASIAN" and all that good stuff. I just go with it and go "It's hella asian huh?!" Seriously who cares what they think. Girls will find you the funniest when you go along with it since you're actually asian. It should be a back and forth thing, I don't know why you're not playing along with it.

Well, one of the reasons I can't really just embrace it and go with it is because the people saying it to me aren't my friends. They are some guys that dislike Asians and they want to bring me down or something.

I think the penis jokes are a lot easier to handle when your with friends because you can just laugh it off. These guys that say it to me wouldn't be laughing with me but at me instead.

Well, there's so many comebacks you can come up with, but to what end? Since these guys aren't your friends, you could very well just end up provoking a fist fight and I'm presuming that you don't want it to come down to that. Seriously, just leave them be and ignore them. Thinking that they're getting over on you simply because you met their barbs with silence is just all in your head. You know the truth - just be the stronger person for it, and let them wallow in their own ignorance. Like you said, you don't even know these people and that they dislike you to begin with. Don't give them more reason to dislike you nor give them the satisfaction that they got a rise out of you. I know it is hard to do, but it's the more civilized route. If it's really that bothersome, just report them specifically for racist taunting. School officials, I would think, would take immediate notice when you start trotting out the R word, especially in this litigious kind of society. Sure, it's probably extreme, but it's better than stooping down to their level of catcalling.
