around 2900 but i havent downloaded songs in a long time though..

A proud owner of 2331 files of songs (not including my free track and ringtones,sms rones in other folder). I lost nearly 12G worth when my external HD crashed.

I have about 7000, almost all of which I've downloaded myself.

I collect artists' complete discographies. I hate having only one or two songs by an artist, so I insist on downloading the entire album. Besides, albums are meant to be heard as a whole, eh?

I used to have about 500. Now I cut down and have only about 200. All those songs were actually slowing down my computer so I was taking action before it actually crashes one day.

WOW. How do you guys have more than 5000 song files?
I'm scared my iTunes would have to work too hard every time I open it if I had that much... :x

I have around 800.

I try to limit putting only the songs that I realllly like on my laptop. Dont want to chance it crashing because of all the music? Or does it?
