You know those gorgeous bottles of balsamic/flavoured vinegar sometimes used for decor?
Do you use it as dip for bread? I'm told to use slices of baguette but wouldn't it just be all soggy?

..Yes, this is a ridiculous question but I'd like to know! mellow.gif

I cut up tomatoes into wedges, pour some balsamic vinegar on it, and sprinkle some herbs over it or something and serve. It's pretty easy! You can also dip bread in balsamic vinegar and olive oil mixed together, like the Greeks do, I think. =)

Gah. But I hate tomatoes. Anything I can do with bread or crackers or something? Is this vinegar stuff any good?? It's $9.99CAD at Winners!

Of course, you can always drink it straight from the bottle.

mmmm.... balsamic vinegar is great as a base for salads. also, you can do this thing where you lightly toast slices of baguettes with butter or olive oil, top with some fresh mozzarella and chopped basil, and drizzle the vinegar over (you can sweeten it a bit with sugar too x3)

Get a plate and put olive oil on it, then splash a bit of balsamic vinegar on it.

Use this as a dip for bread. They have it a lot as appetisers in Italian restaurants in Melbourne.

OR

You can use it as a dressing (mixed with olive oil) for salads.

we use balsamic vinegar with breads like we mix olive oil with some balsamic and use it as a dipping sauce..but i don't like the taste that much.. i find balsamic very strong for my taste buds.. my parents love them a lot though.. my mom would use it as a salad dressing.
