The Amuse and J are great however $2,000 for a minimal gains is hardly worth it, but you definitely do get the weight savings and the "JDM bling." I personally think those exhaust on the S2000 don't sound good at all except for the Amuse R1 Titan. Lots of droning. Being in the S2Ki forum, I've seen some problems for the Amuse exhaust hangar quality built.
I personally went with the HKS Hi-Power with an Invidia test pipe. Best sounding exhaust for the S2k. No drone just deep and raspy note.
I recommend getting a test pipe if you can. Where I live doesn't have emission test

I agree entirely. The best single outlet exhausts are the way to go. I'm currently debating between the J's 60RS and the T1R 70RT. I do play to go f/i in time so the larger piping of the T1R would probably prove to be beneficial after a tune if not immediately. I'd love to run the J's 70RR (it's actually $2 cheaper on Evasive) but I'm rather hesitant. Which system do you recommend?

I'm rather concerned about being pulled over (which is rather likely considering the exhaust) and caught without a cat. The penalty is rediculous. Out of curiosity, would you recommend a turbo or a s/c? I usually autox and run mountain roads but I do track twice or so a year.
Ok I just realized that there's a 70RS model: http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com/catal...ail.php?ID=4349. The 70RR is still rather convincing and it's about $200 cheaper so now it's down to the 70RR, 70RS, and ASM.

refer to my previous post which i edited since are you concered with noise. personally i like my s2000's n/a. build it up to a 2.3 and run itb's mmmm pure sex. however if you really want fi for your purposes i would go with a s/c. i much prefer track racing to auto x, so if i went fi with an s2k i would go turbo.
however if i had about the budget to go fi, i wouldnt. i would buy moton coilovers instead of going fi. it would make the car much better imo. i would go with j's intake/header/exhaust, moton coilovers, lightened flywheel, and a j's wing. that would make one fun s2000 for the track

Alright it's decided: 70RR. If it doesn't work out I'll just sell it on S2ki (paid membership isn't there for nothing) and buy a 70RS. I actually have a set of SSR Type-Cs arriving in a few days so I may take your advice on the Moton Coilovers. It's rather difficult to do research on coilovers on S2ki due to every other person condemning modifications of any kind to the stock suspension setup.

motons = god. however you have to know how to tune a 3 way adjustable coilover, otherwise they wont be nearly as good as they could be (dont worry its not too hard). motons are very expensive at around $5k but they are worth every penny. they blow just about any other coilover out of the water. if you are serious about auto x or track days they will be well worth the money. although if that is too much money for you, there are some other good coilovers at a lesser cost. kw v3 and j's coilovers are also good
here are two moton options.
two way adjustable club sport @ $4.3k
2, 3, or 4 way from $6k +
btw what size are the ssr? what tire size are you going to run? i used to have ssr's on one of my cars years ago, those are great wheels

I'm planning to run 255s all around on 17"s. I'm pretty set on ADVAN A048s at the moment. This is pretty random but is this your Miata in this video: http://www.gtchannel.com/content.php?cid=167? It's identical to the one in your banner.

I purchased 9s all around. It was more of an impulsive buy so I'm still pretty skeptical about my purchase. My friend actually came on in the video a few seconds after you with his K20 MR2.
