Is doing alot of practice tests to prepare for this test sufficient enough to do well on it? Or is something else needed to score well too? Can someone or people give me advice? thanks!!

I'd recommend the 5 Steps to a 5 studybook. They have great examples and tips to help you prepare. Best way to prepare is to just keep doing tests over and over... And look at your mistakes and learn from them. Try to get some past tests from your teacher to see what kind of things they ask.
good day.

I think the APENG test is one of the hardest. just so muchhhh that you have to be fluent in...not to mention being a good writer. if you a 4 or 5 i find that to be quite an accomplishment ^______^

I'd recommend the Cliff's book. Keep doing those practice tests. There will be passages you have to read in order to answer questions. Try skimming, not reading word for word. Don't focus on any one question for too long. Remember, they're all weighted the same when your score is calculated anyway. If you can eliminate an answer choice then go ahead and guess the answer to the question.
For the essays, practice writing under a time limit. Pace yourself. And write a lot.

Hmm... I used the Barron book for AP Language and Composition. It was pretty similar to the AP Test, and it mirrored the same types of AP preparation I got in class, too.
The best thing is, they take the same type of passages as well. Every year the AP presents a range of passages that have certain types of content. Like one will be about nature, another will be pre-18th century, etc. The Barron book makes sure to cover those.
