Any of Jennifer Weiner books (except for 'Goodnight Nobody'. I haven't read that one, so I can't vouch for that tongue.gif ).

i always feel like my IQ is going down while I read these books, but my favourites are the shopaholic series, the rest of Kinsella's books, and EMILY GRIFFIN; i love that woman. Something Borrowed and something blue were my favourite books.

Something Borrowed sequels are great too!
Shopaholic series, all other Sophie Kinsella books..
Devil Wears Prada is a pretty quick and entertaining.

This isn't really chick li, more romance novels.. But Christine Feehan's Drake Sisters series is awesome.

You should definitely check these out. (I hate Nicholas Sparks books too).

I love reading chick lit during the summer. Light-hearted and fun, just like the season. Right now, I'm reading I Do(But I Don't) and the sequel to it, I Did(But I Wouldn't Now) by Cara Lockwood. They're both pretty hilarious.

I don't know about it being a mature chick lit, but I read The Truth About Forever a long long LONG time ago, yet it's still one of my favorite books of all time.. even though it's for younger audiences.

And like everyone said, Something Borrowed and Something Blue from Emily Giffin is definitely worth a good read!

I thought Sophie Kinsella's Can You Keep A Secret was hilarious! Loved that book.

a lot of the books mentioned above + better than running at night by hilary frank. it's about this freshman in a new england art college, and it was really good i remember. it's not really about love or anything, more of independence. def. recommended =D
You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen.
Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet, still and solitary.
The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked,
it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.
