so I have a digital camera
and I took a picture with my cousin
when we were in the city and when I got
back home,
I DELETED the picture by ACCIDENT!
I meant to delete another picture but
I deleted the pic with me and my cousin
by accident.
and I know its a "picture" and i'm gonna
have chances to take pics with her again
but we were in NYC and the setting was
so pretty.
so does anyone know how to get deleted pics back?
or is it like

ONCE ITS DELETED, ITS DELETED? dry.gif

Sometimes that just deletes the pointer, but not the actual photo, so there are ways to bring it back, but I don't even really know what they are, plus it's probably already long gone.
I am the minority here.

I think "Delete" means to get rid of something...not "store it some place else in case you need it again". rolleyes.gif

So long as no other pictures are taken in the interim, it's a possibility, but you'd have to know a hell of a lot of low level I/O programming. Personally I love that kind of programming challenge, but it would take some time to get it solved.

Your best bet is to google for it.

No, there are image recovery programs for dica's.

My friend accidentally formatted his card with his gf's pictures and although HE WAS NOT ABLE TO GET THEM ALL BACK....he recovered most.

Google is your friend.

Followed by an illegal torrent of your choice.

Hah jk.

edit: no this friend was not me, nor was it pornographic in any nature. i'll ask him what program.

Sigged for life.

if you haven't taken any new photos i.e. if you haven't saved anything new to the memory card, you can just plug the memory card into a memory card reader and use recovery software on it

the software i use to recover my files is called "recover my files"

the file systems that are used on memory cards are the same ones that computers use so theoretically, you'd plug the card in to the reader and the card shows up as a removable drive, then just run the software and select the removable drive.

memory card readers are everywhere nowadays - they come standard on some laptops... or if you can't find anyone who has one, you can buy one off ebay for next to nothing.

I once had someone take the batteries out of my camera while it was still on, which really hosed the file system and it looked like all the pictures had been lost, but I was eventually able to recover all of them with a little perl script biggrin.gif
