What's a good video editing program used to like edit/create a video?
Hopefully it supports extensions like avi, rmvb, and rm.

I've used Sony Vegas 6.0/7.0 before. Adobe Premiere is a pretty good program and using Adobe After Effects as well. Vegas is very simple to use though in my opinion.

vegas is good and easy for users, due to its good playback function - as oppose to premiere since u have to render a section with effects if u want to properly view it which does take a good few moments from u.
after effects is mainly for adding special effects - which acts as an animation program with vid editting enhancments.
but id say vegas or premiere. easy to use and supports a wide range of vid files. final cut for apple sucks; sorry but i had to say it. drives me up the wall.

Premiere elements isnt bad either, its learning curve is as high as Premiere Pro but at least its affordable if you decide to actually purchase it.

I have a question.... but not sure where I can ask it... since this is asking about video editing program...
can someone tell me what's the difference between premiere pro and premiere element? I want to buy premiere pro, but it cost ALOT! So I saw premiere element... it's affordable, but is there anything else to it?
