How Much Should Driver Ed Cost?

Is 600 dollars too much for driver ed?
What the average cost?

I paid $500, $350 upfront and $150 if I passed the driving test.
The driving instructor gave me pretty much unlimited hours to go driving around with him. I passed on the first try.

The guy usually charged $600, but since my mom is Asian and cheap, she bargained it down to $500. laugh.gif

I got into Driver's Ed with like 440 dollars including behind the wheel lessons...

I think it was deducted because my dad was a AAA insurance member so it was a little deducted, and by signing up early. I think normally it was 600... just look for good deals, and you should find something.

over here we don't have to pay for drivers ed :]

Holy crap ... Never knew it was that expensive ...

I got mine for about $250 since my grandpa knew the people there pretty well and referred a lot of people there. biggrin.gif

^ werdd. it was one class you should never skip in highschool though. you can only miss like 2 classes or else you wont meet the required hours.

Except I didn't take the class at all, I heard it sucked butt. But I took a huge test to get my pink slip and I passed! YAY FREE PINK SLIP! Then I got a driving instructor, 150 bucks. Permit 12 bucks. That's pretty much it. I feel sorry for those who fail the permit test. IT'S SOOOO EASY!!! You're just wasting extra 12 bucks if you keep failing. THAT CAN BUY ME LOTS OF FOOD!
