I've been getting a lot of bloody noses lately. Yesterday I had two, and I just had one an hour ago...

Could there be a reason why they keep happening? They don't last very long, and they always seem to be from the same nostril.
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

dry weather, stress, wound, etc.

one of those?

if this keeps on going, you should go to your doctor

Same here ...

Can be a lot of things. Stress, weather, high elevation, puberty/hormonal changes, etc.

Most serious would be a hemorrhage in the brain ... That would need ER and neurosurgery right away ... but I HIGHLY doubt you have that.

If you're worried, just visit a doctor.

If your nose is just dry, take a dab of vaseline and put it on a q-tip and rub it on the inside of your nostril. If it's not that, you should go to the doctor and get it checked out. It could be a sign of a more serious condition.

Yeah same here, I usually get one at least once or twice a month. Just random for me... (I had a bloody nose today actually...). Someone told me it is because I am dehydrated although I drink lots of water.

If it persists, you should definitely see a doctor.

Not to freak you out or anything, but frequent nosebleeds CAN be a symptom of a blood clotting disorder and even cancer.

HOWEVER, in most cases, it's probably due to the dry weather. Drink lots and LOTS of water (more than two litres a day) and eat fruits and vegetables. Avoid sodium because it dehydrates you. tongue.gif

It's probably because of the dry weather or stress. Just take in lots of fluids and it'll probably get better.

like two years ago, i had 8 nosebleeds in two weeks it was so scary. so i went to my doctor and i think we confirmed that the reason for my nosebleeds were because i sleep with the heater on so my room becomes really stuffy... but you should really go to your doctor. he'll fix you up in no time. smile.gif

Thanks. I doubt I have a blood clotting disorder (although my blood pressure is a bit low), but I'll definitely be drinking more water now.

Could it be a side-effect of allergies? I've also been sneezing more nowadays. I suppose that could have dried out the lining of my nose.

Sometimes...

I pick my nose too hard, or blow extra hard, and it gets bloodied.

Or...

my boogers dry up and pull the hair in my nose, and it really hurts, and i get teary-eyed. Sometimes it bleeds cause it yanks my nose hair out tears.gif

Disgusting, right? I know.
FAIL.

^okkkkkkk....

or she could be watching too many naughty naughty videos hahah ^^

i used to get them frequently when i was younger as well. But mine were really bad i had to rushed to hospital because they wouldn't stop for ages and it was a lot of blood too.

Now i don't get them at all. My mum says its cos i got my period so the nosebleeds have stopped. im notsure how thats related. Im thinking more of like a dry wound in the nostril and when agitated it would bleed. You should see a doctor if it keeps happening. i remember my doctor gave me this type of ointment to put up my nose (^^ fun)

Bloody noses are common during humid weather. I got 2 of em yesterday. One was in the morning, when I was cleaning my face, and another when I was eating rice at night.

witsups?
