One of my BEST BEST FRIEND, just recently had sex with her bf.
She said the day after they had sex her vagina is weird now (they've did it couples of times with protection)
She said it hurts but at the same time it itches... She's not sure if she have gonorrhea.
Problem is that *up there*... and she doesn't want her parents to know.. She is still young [ older than me by couples of month... 15 already ]

advices??? HELP!! She's in desperate NEEDS!!

yes it is. when the doctor checks, make sure they have gloves on or else thats called sexual harrassment. EVEN if they say its to check it better. hope your friend is okay.
sadly, some people will never change no matter what you do.

The doctors aren't allowed to tell anyone about her visit. It'll breach her privacy. Just say your going window shopping or something and go to the doctors.

Find the nearest Planned Parenthood. Not positive, but I believe they will provide services for you without parents for a low-cost. It was a long time ago, but my friend who was only 16-17 had something serious and she told me she was able to get treated there.

you can go to any local clinic and they'll know if you have it or not. Symptoms like itchy isn't really a "symptom". If she has any discharge(color either green/yellowish) then it is a possibiliity. OR it can just be an bacterial infection but not neccessaily gonorrhea.

if a mode of transportation is the only thing that is keeping her from going to the doctor then a ride a bus, walk, taxi, anything that would get her there at least.

Planned Parenthood is the best option. They do have clinics in MN, just search the website (plannedparenthood.org)-- according to them there are 25 locations in MN. Hopefully one of them is near you.

And yes, you can go there if you're underage (under 18). I went to one when I was 15, and it was really cheap (they have a payment scale, where you pay very little if you're a high school student). My parents did not have to know I went there. EVERYTHING is confidential.

Also, she should check online on the Planned Parenthood website or check WebMD.com to check her symptoms. It could just be irritation to her vagina or maybe she's even allergic to the latex in the condom, not an STD, especially if she used protection every time she had sex.

gonorrhea?
it's not that thing man.
its probably yeast infection or something minor. Nothing serious. What about her and her bf's personal hygiene?(if you get what i meant)
Does her bf has any disease? Did she check it out?
Other than that. Don't worry. smile.gif

this doesnt apply to minors.
you have to be at least 18 and such.
alot of the reason why some girls dont go to the doctor even if they do
know they have a problem is because they dont want their parents to find out.
and when their parents find out later and and the issue has become a larger issue,
then the parents will be really worried and mad-er because your friend didnt let
them know in advance. your friends best bet would be to just tell her parents.

^^ yeah. i mean i know she'll get in a lot of trouble, but she'd be best to just tell her parents and get treatment for it before it becomes serious.

I agree, she should definitely tell her parents and get treated immediately.

She might regret it and her parents will find out sooner or later anyways..
