i have an 84, almost an 85 average, a 1680 on my SAT's, no extra curriculars, a summer of volunteering at a hospital, currently working off the books, and gonna take the SAT II History in December (but my schools don't require it)

My list is: Binghamton, Stony Brook, Albany, and Geneseo.

i think it matters the order in which you list them on the SUNY application so i don't know what to do..

My main choice would be Binghamton because it has all my possible majors and interests (pre-optometry, Korean, creative writing) but its a far shot at getting in..

Stony Brook seems to the easier one to get into and its closest to my home.. if that is a good or bad thing i'm not too sure.. cuz i also want to dorm or try a new place

Does anyone know anything about Albany University? or even Albany itself? it has pre-optometry and Korean which is good but i've never heard of this school.. is it good ? do i have a chance or getting in? ect...

and Geneseo because it has pre-optometry but i hear its hard to get into and i'm heisitant on whether i want to go cuz not a lot of Asians there..

please any input appreciated-- i have to hand in the SUNY ASAP cuz my counselor said the SUNY fee waivers are going quickly

Binghamton is the best, but Stony Brook is great for premeds.

Geneseo..e rr I dont like Geneseo. I dont think Binghamton fits your status, I think you may have a chance at Geneseo, Albany and Stonybrook..

it wouldn't kill me.. but i need my asian ppl .. its four years..

and may i ask you where you got the statistic and how i can get such a statistic for other schools?

may i ask why you don't like Genseo? i don't know too much about it either



okais.. so all in all, i have a slim chance at Binghamton.. is it ok to put it first choice? will that hurt or help my changes of getting in there or the other other schools? i don't know how these things work

Just try going to collegeboard.com and type in whichever colleges you're interested in knowing more about..

And besides, you're not going to be friends with 500 asians; I think 7% is fine lol. Oh, and there's white people...they don't bite.

its true.. plus it turns out Albany has 7% asians also.. but at least they have the Korean classes which I can take at another school...
